When I was starting out I used one of the end tables in the Companions sleeping quarters. None of my stuff disappeared. I used it for a while till I could buy my first house. Just had to be careful not to steal the two items that were in there.
According to Eurogamer, they stole a lot more than just forum stuff.
Possible Credit Card info leaked amongst other things.
What Eurogamer is reporting is the same that GB and all the other web sites are reporting.
Point me to the section in the GB article where it comments on the unofficial internal memo Gabe sent round Valve suggesting that credit card information was also accessed.
"Users accessed “a Steam database in addition to the forums” that had user names, hashed and salted passwords, game purchases, email addresses, billing addresses, and encrypted credit card information. There is currently no evidence the credit card information has been decrypted, and Valve is “still investigating.”
It's in that tricky 5th paragraph. It wasn't an 'unofficial internal memo'. That's verbatim word for word the message you receive as soon as you log into Steam or try to access the forums.
While in the past the reveal of a new GTA trailer would have me totally stoked, I must admit I'm just lot feeling it this time around. Guess I'm just tired of the franchise as a whole. What they showed here didn't really sell me on anything. I'll be keeping an eye on any news that comes down the pipe but as of right now I have zero interest in this.
You know what...nvm..."News is Still News." it's just that Shitty Journalists are Shitty journalist.
Damn dude, what the hell do you have against Patrick? Tell ya what, why don't you go ahead and start up your own web site and do a better job. Until then kindly keep your remarks to yourself. @ on topic: The eastern one is the better of the two, but I never thought the western version of the cover was as bad as people made it out to be.
What bothers me the most are people who say "Change this or that, but keep the combat" because to me it is the combat that ruined the game for me. I would have been able to tolerate the mediocre story, the bland characters, dumbed down rpg mechanics, and even the horrible sin of the reused dungeons and interiors if it wasn't for how bad the combat was. It was obvious that they tried to "action" up the combat to try and appeal to a lower common denominator and in doing so ruined it by creating magical mobs ala CoD that appear from every direction. What this did was take out any tactical element to the fights because there was no good way to use your party in an effective way to hold a line with the support/casters in back. This also meant that AOE spells could not be allowed to cause friendly fire (yes it is there in the highest difficulty, but I personally would want to just play it on normal or hard the the added challenge FF) because since there is no real front line of combat with mobs magically appearing from all directions it is almost impossible to use these spells without hitting one or more of your party so they obviously had to scrap it. The worst part is that there are many of these bland worthless fights with waves of baddies that just about doing any quest became a complete chore and really drove me away from the game.
To me Bioware has became the gaming equivalent to RPGs as the History Channel is to actual programs about history
The combat in DA2 is my biggest gripe as well. Compared to DA:O I think it's crap. I absolutely loved the tactical decisions you had to make in DA:O. The boss fights felt truely epic. DA2 just felt wrong. You could literally just jam one button for an entire encounter and win. Where's the fun in that? Glad I rented DA2. Origins on the PC was the best.
And this is why i worry about Mass Effect 3... Mass effect 2 was horrible compared to the first, and dragon age 2 was sickening...Bioware just sucks at sequels.
I think its more likely EA's fault for pressuring them to hit release dates once they have a game they can turn into a series.
Well when ME1 was announced back when Microsoft was publishing it , Bioware already planned for it to be a trilogy. Not sure about Dragon Age.
