I'm 1/2 tempted to buy it again off of Steam. I know some people gripe about certain aspects of the game, and I respect their opinions. But for me Psychonauts was a great game. One of my favorites of the last generation. Hope to see a sequel.
Really enjoyed all the midnight oil burning bombcasts. Especially the 2nd night. Great conversations. I didn't want it to end. Amnesia looks pretty damn cool. I'd like to play that.
I liked the first game. It wasn't 'mind blowing' but it thought it was fun. I'm so glad to see a sequel. Especially after the ending from the first. The part I'm talking about is after the credits, at 5min in.
Oh look, another post where someone says, "Blah blah blah, paying too much, blah blah subscription fees, blah blah DLC, blah blah $60 games..." And then people like me come in and say, "Blah blah, back in my day we paid $70 for PilotWings 64 and we LIKED IT, you kids have it easy, blah blah."
@EndrzGame: Oh, right, so the user gets cahrged a premium so MS can handle special services for the developer/publisher ? If anything, that cost should be handed to the developer/publisher , and if the developer/publisher so chooses, they up the price of the game. (What, with games being 60$ a shot now and no real reasoning behind that other than Activision did it one day so everyone followed along) I'm sure it doesn't cost $4.50/m * <subscribers> to maintain some databases.
I'm not exactly sure what the first part of your reply is supposed to mean so I'll just leave it at that. But I don't think you realize just how big an undertaking it is to provide an online service as big as Live. The thing is global and huge. To keep something like that up and running 24/7/365 has a little more to do than just maintaining 'some' databases.
When a developer/publisher puts something out on XBox Live, Mircosoft handles everything. The match making, stats and leader boards, maintenance and what not. Microsoft says "Bring your game here and we'll handle everything", unless you're EA. When EA announced that they would be supporting Live back on the original XBox it was a pretty big deal and helped cement Live's legitimacy as a viable service. On other services/platforms the publishers have to either maintain it themselves or hire out someone to do it for them. I read this somewhere years ago, but that's pretty much why Live isn't free. Also, I haven't payed full price for Live for the past 3 years. Amazon.com and even brick and mortar stores always have sales on 12months gold cards. The last one I ordered from Amazon was only $35.
