Mentioning patches reminded me of something: I had a friend who had no end of technical issues with the game while I was shocked how poorly it performed on my machine as well. Mentioning raids reminded me another thing: SWTOR raids were not good either where they were they make the mistakes MMOs years ago made with one raid taking too long to gear up for while the other was too easy which means you simultaneously are frustrated and bored.
Diablo 3 didn't help but both Wow: Mists or Guild War 2 launches are months away where if they don't improve things rapidly SWTOR is "done" and minor updates won't help.
Naw you are no more a "brony" than anyone where if you say you aren't then you are not. Just because you like some Star Trek doesn't make you a Trekker or Trekkie or whatever.
I do find the show a fascinating example of how a well built fiction can be built around anything. And the show is an example of "tech retro" which we also see in video games where the technology is powerful enough to produce a much more detailed and fluid show they elected to stick with a specific style and concentrate on using that technical power in other ways.
The thing I'm sympathetic on is how can anyone be enthusiastic covering the same material year after year. When the vendor does this over and over and over again and then turns to the press and goes "Wow, wasn't that new and exciting?" what should their response be?
