I'd say Silent Hill 3, it was the first Silent Hill I actually sat down and played and it really got under my skin. Running away from monsters gets the heart racing.
The most important thing you can learn is what to pick up to sell. Cigarette cartons and packs are worthwhile to pick up, but anything that weighs more than a pound or so should be ignored unless it's armor or guns. Always loot corpses, and always repair your stuff if you have lots of duplicates. Sell to Crimson Caravan, Gun Runners, or the Med Clinic. If you keep doing this on a regular basis, you should be rolling in caps and therefore be able to buy anything you need, including stimpacks, better guns, and ammo. Also, even if you want to talk your way out of things, you're still gonna need to fight stuff on a regular basis. Make sure you have high skill in either Guns or Energy Weapons, and stick to one until it's at 100. Gun Runners has tons of awesome (but expensive) Gun-type weapons, while the Van Graffs (Silver Rush Casino in Freeside) have some good Energy Weapons.
@ch13696: Yeah, I mean you can order online from Gamestop with next day shipping for 20 bucks, or just go to the store and buy it for 10. Convenience is not worth 10 extra dollars, but alas Microsoft can afford for no one to buy it because they only pay for their server costs. This is some deliberate trolling if I've ever read it. You even call yourself the "unpopular gamer" like you're expecting no one to agree with you.
Well here's what I think: Bobby Kotick, no matter who his "audience" is, or what his job entails, is cancerous. Yes, he was hired to make the company money, and he does that very successfully; in the short term. Let's look at the music game industry as a prime example. Kotick maintains that the only games worth producing are ones that can be exploited on a yearly basis. The guitar hero franchise has since become a joke, selling worse and worse every year until the inevitable dissolution of Neversoft. Why aren't they working on more games? Is this fair to the people that work for him? To chain them to a sinking ship while he rakes in the money and washes his hands of the thing once the cow's dried up? And how is his attitude towards game developers, calling Bungie the "last great independent studio" somehow voided because he's talking to the shareholders? If he's making shit up to appease them, he's still a toad. People like Kotick, who have no respect for the talent that their paychecks rely on, are scum. It ruined the music industry, it ruined the movie industry, and it's ruining the games industry.
