From what little I know about using G2A. One streamer I watch has a sponsorship with them, and he's always reminding people to check their e-mail and junk folders for the account as keys are e-mailed from G2A apparently, and not found on your account in site. If you've done this, then disregard. Just thought I'd mention it.

The game seems to declining rapidly at least on PC. I've been trying to play it, but it feels like there are only 2-3 games going on at any given time in each game mode. Even if I leave a game after a few losses, try a new game mode and then go back to the previous game mode, I've often just been put into the same group of people. And made worse is just that every game is one farming team of all gen4+ vs a team of gen1. I'd started taking screen shots of it because the game has absolutely zero autobalancing / team scrambling and I was finding it pretty funny.

Just last night I decided to stay in one lobby to see just how long I could hold out on the non gen, bad team. while always in the top 3 of my team, i lost 15 matches straight. The game switched out the team we were against only to replace it with another full gen5+ farm team to continue farming us, while we just dropped players every game and replenished slowly with other non gen players. I ended up going to bed having not won a single game while staying in that lobby.

That and the fact that carbines are so strong, and satchels are silly strong makes for the gameplay variety to be pretty stale.

But yeah. game is, and has declined rapidly and my willingness to put up with it has dwindled (that and the way the game handles latency compensation makes for absolutely infuriating moments where you're watching your foot go through someones face, not register and then having that person kick you from 5 feet off to the left of you). It's depressing.

@adequatelyprepared: Seems to be the trend I'm seeing too... Somewhat glad to see that I'm not the only one experiencing this.

Whether or not the conductor saved his life from that potential protruding object. If you're so close to a moving train that someone inside can kick you in the head, then you're too close to the damned train... That kick in the head was completely justified.

Games been out a month or so, and I have to say I'm actually having some issues with matchmaking now. Couldn't get a game of last titan standing or capture the flag going this evening I'd try to load in, and the game would sit and repeatedly fail to put me in a party, then would get a new server from xbox live and continue to fail. Seem to only be able to get control point and attrition games consistently and even then, teams generally are stacked and you're matching prestige lvl 5+ with non prestiged lvl 15+ with many of the games having uneven player counts..

I can't help but feel that many people just aren't playing anymore? (on PC at least) Anyone having similar experiences? Or was this some strange scenario of me just playing at the wrong time?

If you bought a console with the sole purpose and intent of playing one game. Then yes, please feel free to feel ripped off. Besides, the graphics are good even on PC, but lets be honest, they're not blowing anyone away.

I can't say much about the community surrounding SSB, but when I watched it on EVO streams I quickly became pretty bored after the 15th match of Peach vs. Fox/Falco.

@garr123: I will admit as a dude who studied architecture I found it really freaking weird how I went up an elevator in a windmill (that you can see the top of from outside) and somehow wound up in a lave filled volcano with a castle in the middle of it. That windmill must be hella well built to hold all that crap up.

It's not that bizarre when you think about how such a thing would exist. The basic idea as I understand it is that the Iron Keep existed on a dormant volcano, the keep sank in a bit due to the sheer weight of all dat iron.

Yeah wait a second; the vistas surrounding the Iron Keep are strange and don't support that theory.

... why the hell do we go up?

While I do love the game, this has been a pretty big disappointment for me. I loved the cohesive, seemingly natural progression of the world and area's through DS1 and how they all seemed to fit well together and make sense. DS2 just feels like they're going through a checklist of area themes with no rhyme or reason and when looked at as a whole, make no sense.

Another glaring example would be travelling from Heide's Tower to the Wharf.... So. you start at sea level in Heide's. You go down the tower after dragon rider or whatever and go below sea level. You then take an elevator REALLY far below sea level. Then a flat sewer section later, you come out into the wharf and.... you're at sea level. Huh?

The game part is absolutely better in DS2, no doubt about that. But so much of the immersion I loved in DS1 is gone in exchange for MMO style zone creation.

Definitely my initial reaction upon entering the black gulch was something along the lines of "Fuck this shit". Mostly because of how tedious it is to navigate. But once I realized the area was tiny and found the bonfire at the end which made boss attempts so easy (not that he was hard in the first place) I didn't mind it. Just take your time, stick to the right side, kill statues and you'll be fine.

Just lag. I had this happen to me tonight. I was in the bell tower and was getting invaded non stop. But one guy, I caught him, back stabbed. I finish the backstab animation and see zero damage come off his health. "What manner of creature is this?!" I proclaimed, suddenly afraid. But some 6-7 seconds later that massive chunk came off his HP and I finished him shortly after.
