IMO, you can be a nice guy and succeed. It's all in how you present yourself.

Assholes are confident people - They're assholes. You have to be confident as well. You need to seem confident and capable. Whether you actually are is an entirely different matter - it's all about the impression you leave on people. You need to be in command. Assholes exude this stuff automatically.

Wow, all this hate for people who aren't quick at math. Awesome.

The way I handle tipping is I simply put down two dollars more than whatever the first number of the bill is.

$10 bill = $3 tip.
$20 bill = $4 tip.
$30 bill = $5 tip.
$40 bill = $6 tip.
$50 bill = $7 tip.

Keeps it simple. Just look at the first number and add two. Add three if they were awesome.

" @Mrnitropb: Holy shit!  It's a good thing I didn't watch "Watership Down" when I was little.  Nothing that graphic should be in a children's movie. "

or it's exactly what a children's movie should have. :)

As for stuff that freaked me out as a kid:

Puppets. Anything with puppets. It's that uncanny valley thing. They're often very human looking or at least very human and natural in behavior, but there's just always something about them that's off. It's probably the dead unmoving eyes.  So, with that, Jim Henson was the ultimate nighmare weaver. The Muppets, The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth. Also, stuff like Willow and the Never-Ending Story. Pee-Wee's playhouse.

Claymantion stuff like James and the Giant Peach was also pretty creeptastic.

This is the proper reaction to have when you hit a small animal with a car:

No. I don't think it's possible for me to watch a movie more than a few times and not be tired of it. I tend to only watch movies once.

I would want to have as little involvement in that situation as possible. I couldn't possible know the true story behind the events, so any intervention by me could actually lead to something far worse. Like, let's say the guy was indeed stabbed and being pursued - but what he was doing in that alley was raping a woman before getting confronted by someone coming to that woman's rescue? If I help him and attack his assailant, I've actually stopped the wrong guy. So yeah, the less I intervene, the better.

I assume my best bet would be to be standoffish and keep some distance between us while telling him to go hide somewhere and then quickly running the opposite direction to do the same myself. If he doesn't comply, I'll have to assume that he's putting us both in danger or he's actually a mugger feigning that he's wounded in order to get close to me. In that case, I would take him down quickly with a fierce judo chop to the neck or a swift kick to the stomach.

I would then run to a hiding spot and lay low. I would also call the police and stay as hidden as possible until they arrive or possible get out of there beforehand if it seems like the coast is clear.

Does this app work during calls?

If it doesn't do that, it's trash.

I'm glad I have no idea who that is, otherwise I too might be disappointed. :P
