You're crazy if you think ps1 to ps2 or NES to snes weren't huge leaps forward.
2 buttons to 6 didn't dramatically effect how games are played?

@VinceNotVance: It's that simple? I was sort of hoping there was more of a reason I guess...I figure, "I just spent $60 on this game, what could they possibly be providing me for additional cash that is going to make this a better game?"

I'm not cheap, but for some reason thinking of purchasing downloadable content doesn't appeal to me...I guess yours is as good as a reason as any.

It is pretty much that simple. If I want more from a game I'll buy the DLC if I don't I won't.

I also look at the $60 thing differently. Games have been $60 forever even though they cost more to make now. People buying DLC allows them to keep new games at $60. I have no problem supporting game companies if they are creating games I enjoy and I know that if people are buying DLC they are more likely to continue making games I like.

At least we know that Americans are as ignorant about North Korea as North Koreans are about America.

@TentPole Because I've played through the game multiple times and 90% of the dialogue was the same.

It's the same problem I have with most games that attempt to give you choice. Most of the dialogue is written for your character to act a certain way and if you don't play that way some of the interactions can be jarring. My second play through I was an enormous dick to everyone and not much changed at all.

Like Heavy Rain, this is a game that should only be played once. Don't break the illusion, and play thru and enjoy it. It's unreasonable to expect massive changes of a story in a game, there's too many variables and it just really doesn't work.

When they devote the first screen you see you talk about your choices having an impact and hearing Gary talk about how each episode had a 400 page script due to the variables I think it's justified to expect a little more.

I guess Kenny does say something about Lee having suspected Duck of being bitten during the preview for the next episode.

Changing 2 things would have made the puzzle perfectly acceptable in my mind.

Instead of having her trying to fix the radio by staring at just have her say Hey I have a radio but I don't have any batteries. Then if you still want it to be a two part puzzle have her ask you to find an antenna.

Having someone be too lazy to look for what they need in their immediate surroundings is a far more acceptable videogame trope than having someone just be a complete moron.

@Kidavenger: What was the first thing you did after you put your batteries in the wrong way? You check to see if you put the batteries in the wrong way.

It's not interesting or challenging and the only purpose it serves is to show that one of the characters is a complete moron.

She's trying to fix a radio but doesn't think to check if it has batteries? You give her batteries but has no idea how batteries work even though there is a diagram to follow?

I know it's a game but COME ON!

I just played through it again and it seems like nothing you do matters further than the next line of dialogue except for the very last choice you make.
