The Gore surprised me, I didn't notice for much of the game, then I saw a guy's foot on the ground while he writhed around next to it. I went over to see what was up, and from then on the shot gun was my friend.
Having recently just put down my dog, which was in the same situation as the cat with a really bad, infected tumour on its back, we only put it down once it became clear the tumour was bothering her (as in she was constantly whining, and trying to lick it, but couldn't, which drove her insane). As long as the cat seems happy, it could be blind, deaf and have a cough, but as long as it's happy, no need to put it down.
On whether or not you should be part of the decision, it depends how long you've looked after the cat, and whether or not these issues have developed while your parents have been away.
Hmm, I would have thought 400 each, I'm assuming you'll be the single, so I don't think it really matters as long as you are only paying rent for yourself.
Australia currently has a PM (and arguably an entire Government) that talk a lot but don't say anything. The amount of crap they spew in order to avoid the question or subject is absurd, in fact it's so bad it's a joke. Last year we had a PM who literally made up words to sound like he knew what he was talking about, the one they replaced him with now repeats meaningless phrases like they'll electrify the people or something. If I hear "Moving Forward" one more time...
In normal cases I would, like I listen to the opposition, who do not suffer the same issues with spewing bullshit 24/7, but currently they don't say anything worth listening too.
In Obama's case I actually find him quite difficult to listen to, I much prefer Clinton.
