@Garfield518: pretty sure that fallout 2 had free roam after the game ended, but like others have been saying, as long as it tells me about the "point of no return" I will be fine. I usually tend to do all of my free roaming before finishing a game for the first time anyways.
" Brutal Legend. I actually enjoyed the humor and the 3rd person shooting. Not a fan at all of the RTS portions which took up a lot of the 2nd half of the game. "
It is sad to see BL listed so many times, I had always hoped that there was a silver lining there somewhere. "
This. I was really REALLY excited for brutal legend but it just...didn't deliver what I was expecting. I still have mad respect for Tim Schafer's work though.
Tony Hawk. I sank hours upon hours into the first three, and then after reverts it was like they ran out of ideas, so they put out the same game over and over again.
If you really enjoyed Amnesia, then you will definitely have to check out the Penumbra series, which is done by the same studio. The consensus is that the second game is the best one, but since you seem to have a hankering for good scary games I would recommend all three.
I bought Halo 3 ODST without being sure if I would really like it, but actually ended up really enjoying how they switched up the pacing of the campaign.
I think people just have to watch the inevitable story about Halo release day on the local news this week to see how video games have moved into mainstream acceptance as a medium.
I will do normal first so I can experience the story/explore the world thoroughly without having to worry too much, but after my first playthrough it will be hardcore all the way.
