I oddly heard the news off of the Peter Molydeux parody twitter account. I had first thought it was a joke but upon further investigation I realized that it was sadly not.
I have never met him in person but after following him from Gamespot to GB over the past 10+ years I really became attached. His charismatic attitude and style of humor hooked me quickly and he never ceased to keep me laughing while still being informed in the gaming world. Considering how extremely saddened and shocked I as well as the rest of the community is of his passing, I can't even imagine the pain Jeff and the others are going through. I don't know how Matt was able to even write this article.
@guppy507: I had thought about that as well but when I check my CPU usage when playing BF3 on ultra it is only at about 70% while my GPU usage is at 100%. I'll eventually swap out the CPU but it's the best one my Motherboard will support and I'm not really ready to do a full rebuild.
I currently have a Radeon 6950 and am looking to upgrade my video card so I am able to play game like Battlefield 3 and Sleeping Dogs at their max settings with a a stable frame rate. I am running a single monitor in 1920x1200 resolution. My budget is about $400 and the two main cards I'm looking at are the Radeon HD 7970 Ghz Edition and the Geforce GTX 770. The ATI card has an extra GB of GDDR5 but from the reviews it seems like the Nvidia card runs a little cooler and uses less power. Just curious what card you guys think is the best or if I'm missing something else in my price range.
