And, yes, I have the answer. NO, the Giant Bombcast has never failed to produce an episode within a Sunday-Saturday calendar week.

As far as I can tell, there has only been one Tuesday since the Giant Bombcast began on March 11, 2008, that there was no Bombcast episode, and that was October 14, 2008. However, there was an episode that week, two days earlier on Sunday, October 12th, the last Bombcast from Toyko on their trip for TGS 2008.

(Also, I should really look to see if I have messages more often.)

Well, it was nice while it lasted. Looking forward to seeing what these two do next.

I know I'm not the only one that does this. Here's why I do:

1. Hearing the crew taste Djungelvral/Hockey Pulver/Bird's Nest Drink for the first time never, ever gets old.

2. To snicker at people talking about the certain inevitability of EA purchasing 2K Games, or that the 10-year-cycle was a fallacy, and SURELY we would have at least one new console by 2011.

3. To remind myself that things like Wii Music actually existed at some point.

4. Jeff Green and Paul Barnett.

There's probably more, but that's what I can think of off the top of my head.

Happy birthday, Giant Bomb! I'd say you're 21 in website years, but you've been acting like you're old enough to drink from day 1!

I do have a ridiculous amount of Bombcast trivia at my command... but, seriously, guys, this one wasn't hard, just sort the episodes by length in my media organizer (MediaMonkey Gold, by the way, check it out!) and look at the titles. Yes, I have all of the podcasts downloaded to my hard drive, but considering the fact that I listen to them more than once, that isn't THAT weird.

@Mr_Skeleton: Since I am the guy that knows these kinds of things, no, it's not the shortest Bombcast ever, in fact, quite a number of the 2008 Bombcasts were shorter, as were a number recorded at a show (E3, PAX, TGS), to talk about the plot/mechanics of a certain game, to talk with PR or developers of a certain game, or for the Game of the Year deliberations.

It is the shortest "regular" Bombcast since June 6, 2009, the week after E3. That one clocked in at a mere one hour, seventeen minutes, six seconds.

The shortest "regular" Bombcast was the one immediately after they launched the site, on July 22, 2008, at 45-and-a-half minutes.

I've done this way too many times for it to not be embarrassing. And I just started another one.

All-time favorite is December 9, 2008, where they were having technical issues with the site, and they had to do the whole podcast over again, enhanced by Fosters and Jeff's keyboard.

It won't be Power, it'll (almost certainly) be something from Giant Bomb user wafflestomp. As for when they switch seasons... I imagine it's whenever Ryan gets sick of hearing the current theme music.

I'd wager that Patrick will be a part of the new image, and Dave will not be.
