I'm occasionaly getting dropped, friend invites don't always work, and sometimes I just straight can't connect.  The latest patch seems to repair some of these issues but not all.  As gamb1t said, give it time.

Something that better captures the feel of Space Hulk w/out breaking copyright.  It's so friggin' close.  It's just missing some fo that plodding, deliberate, and strategic feel.  No idea how to achieve that so I'm not being very constructive.

Mega edit (from the Penny Arcade forums):

Enter these commands at the console:

exec 360controller_PC
bind "JOY4" "asw_InvLast"

The default controls are:

Left stick – move
Right stick – aim
Right trigger – fire
Left trigger – alt fire
Right bumper – reload
Left bumper – use offhand item
A – roll
B – melee
X – use
Y – switch weapons
Back – Show map/objectives

You'll have to enable the developer console in the keyboard/mouse options and hit ~ to bring it up. This works really well. Some of the tutorial popups are fucked up but who cares. "

Dev has confirmed this on black cat forums.  They've evenly recently patched this to work better.

I've found a couple of great random people on steam who are wanting to do the speed runs.  However, I thought I might find even more in the GB community.  Anyone want to do speed runs?  Add me as afriend (and anyone else who spills their steam name here) and let's boogie down on speed runs when we find eachother online.  My Steam: kojip

Hope to see ya'll around and sorry if this has already come up and I'm dupe posting.

I left out but meant to address that the story and dialog prompts are absolutely brilliant even if it does take a few implausible twists.  The fact that your dialog options mean something and there are no right answers makes this game a very high ranker in my opinion even with the problems I personally take up with the gunplay.

Is this game art?...

I actually thought this was a good game when you couched it in the framework of several mediocre mechanics and an over-reliance on pumped up gunplay to progress reasonably.

I beat the game no problem and I did so in more-or-less one sitting.  I liked it that much. But I also saw Jeff's quick look so I spec'ed out all soldier and went through with max. assault rifle.  I also played back through again trying to do things stealth.  The trick is you need to specialize and if you go all guns, it's too easy, and all stealth it's too slow.  This is precisely the kind of thing that needed a sequel the same way Mass Effect needed a sequel and they pulled it off.

Too bad Obsidian won't be getting it.  Again, as I've said every year since I bought my Sega CD AND THE Best game was Sewer Shark... Fuck you SEGA.

Obviously I've confused the issue: The Galaga machine is an example of what I know (and don't know) about putting these things in a home.  The Galaga machine is one of the zillions of originals floating around but I only have so much room in my basement.  A 1069 machine will probably be the last one I ever buy and I want to know what I need to put it THAT THING together.  The company so far doesn't seem to understand wtf I'm asking either.  Thanks for input

It featured a moving seat and central joystick (at least at the Harrah's arcade Lake Tahoe right around the time they were trying out an awful experimental VR setup in another corner of their arcade and eventuallly gave up to an equally horrible system based at Harvey's next to their horrible ghost laser based shooter).  Guidance is appreciated.  I'm trying to find a working copy but can't remember the name for the life of me. Thanks.

As far as I know my Galaga machine is original.  I bought it from a Marie Calendar's in Lake Tahoe.  They're only asking ~400$ for the PCB at JammaBoards.com.  I juust want to know exactly what I'll need from there and ergo whether or not they're worth the price.
