Hopefully it's done a little more realistically than DA2 (not that theres anything realistic about Bioware relationships), I'm pretty sure that not everybody in the galaxy swings both ways which is seemingly the case in Thedas.
Looks like Warner Interactive is re-issuing the original arcade versions of the first 3 games. Will be good to see them return in download form after the versions of MK2 and MK3 were pulled from PSN and XBLA after Midway tanked, and even the PC community can get their pallet swapped ninja on this time around.
Hardware wise I think well be looking at a GPU adapted from the old ATI R700 lineup (HD48xx) at this point. It's 2 generations old by PC standards and would be cheap as chips to crank out at 40nm and wouldn't chew much in the way of power. Both the Wii and GC ran ATI chips so it makes sense from a historical standpoint.
I also wonder if theres going to be another custom designed CPU in this thing this time around (ala the Wii,PS3 and 360) or if they're going to go a little more off the shelf. I'm pretty sure that the business relationship between Nintendo and IBM is still in good standing for CPU architecture development.
It would also be lunacy to see less than 2GB of system memory in this machine if they're hoping for it to last another 6-7 years.
So I figured with the general scarcity of MK on Australian shores it may be a good idea to take a head count of GB people who have imported the game and are looking for some local online games.
Of course for those among us on the PS3 this is all dependent on Sony getting the PSN up and running at some point this decade.
