On Wednesday the Minister for Justice Brendan O'Connor announced the public release and review of the draft classification guidelines for games. These new guidelines will replace the existing old (and out dated) guidelines and bring classification standards for games into line with other existing media with the introduction of an R18+ classification.
Additionally the Attorney-General's Department have opened up an online survey where Australian's can submit their opinion's on the drafted guidelines put forward.
I encourage all Australian members of the Giant Bomb community over the aged of 18 to submit their thoughts on the draft. Please be constructive and mature if you wish to leave additional comments beyond the 4 provided options. There is enough of us out there to make a real difference on this issue and hopefully this year might be the year where the News feed on Giant Bomb and other sites doesn't read "X Game is banned in Australia".
Why would you want to play like that? Also what the hell is mack?
Why wouldn't you?
It doesn't add anything. The UI and game is designed around the little area in the middle. Everything else is just a waste.
Having the UI pulled out to the side monitor's would be a total pain as your Hud would never be fully in view. The bonus here in a game like Assassin's Creed is purely an immersive one, It really brings the world to life. Also I guess my use of the word "mack" is purely colloquial, short handing "immaculate".
Hard to overstate how great this is to play with, frame rate holds up pretty well with every cranked up and 2xAA. Looking forward to the next gen cards to get it to a solid 60 at 5760x1200 with 8xAA ;)
You probably want something like this, to overclock. Pentium Dual Core is basically the same as Core 2 Duo, only cheaper. If you haven't overclocked before, don't worry about it. It's dead easy. Just be sure to get a decent third-party cooler since the Intel pack-ins are sort of crap. And obviously you'll need a mobo that supports Intel processors, not AMD. Just check out whether it supports LGA 775 and it should work.
Pentium architecture is nothing even remotely like Core2 architecture.
@TheKeyboardDemon: The rig is an i7 920 running @ a little over 4GHZ with 12GB of Corsair Dominator and 2x5870 2GB Eyefinity6 editions (overclocked a smidge, they're not great for it). The performance is pretty good in a good chunk of games, no where near what i get in single screen, but a lot of what I get in single screen goes to waste as it sits well above 60fps. Personally i'm looking forward to the next round of cards, want to get back to single screen performance (or near to it) when running 5760x1200... or 6048x1200 with bezel comp running.
