I really think that the only way to get something like this off of the ground is to put in the groundwork through blogging and social media. Start to build an audience. When you can prove that people want to follow your take on things, you may be able to make the jump to finding ad revenue.

I think that creating the content because you love the media that you're covering and you have something to say should be the baseline goal. Not sponsorship.

QFT ^^

Well - unless you have something no one else offers within that area - then no, you will not be likely to find anyone wanting to invest in, not in these days.

The best thing to do, is to start out yourself - say in blog form. This way you - might - be able to attract eyes from someone, and who knows, maybe they want to offer you money for what you do.

But be aware. Starting a site, especially in a field that is covered by hundreds/thousands other - you will have to work immensely hard to stand out from the rest.

Been using the Remington MB320C for a looong time - runs more than a hour on one charge - and use it for everything north of the neck. One of those things that just works, nothing fancy - no bells and whistles. Give it 3 drops of oil every 6 months or so - seems to be able to run forever.

The Drive soundtrack is, oddly enough, perfect for driving.

Also this one, I listen to this tune a couple of times every day - it is just amazing!

Those are beta related issues. The real concern is the dueling UI conventions and just overall odd UI design. That's why I'm personally skipping from Win 7 to Win 9.

As far as I know, MS are so invested in Metro, that I would be very surprised if Win 9 will not be with Metro too.

It's not the Metro UI that I hate. It's the way you shift between the two different desktops and things like that. By Windows 9 they should have that stuff ironed out. It feels like two different OSes glued together.

Ahh, I see your point. Totally agree - it seems like they had two departments working or each their OS, and during the final pitching meeting - someone couldn't choose.

The below seems fitting for those kind of meetings...

I would wait for the Intel Ivy Bridge hardware to release this summer so you could either get the new stuff or the 2500K for cheaper.

That is both the joy and the pain of buying hardware - there is always something better around the corner :)

I voted, but it's currently 51% vs 49% so you could still need a bit more help.
