This info appears to source back to Brian Fargo, a developer not directly affiliated with OnLive who nonetheless claimed a source inside the company had told him the shutdown was taking place.

I'm glad you decided to note the unconfirmed sourcing in the article, but I hope that in the future the press is able to recognize that if something is going to be a story...it will be a story.

If an unofficial source tells you that a company will go bankrupt then you call an official source. If the official source has no comment you investigate as much as you can. The best way to find out if Onlive will file for bankruptcy is if the company announces they will file for bankruptcy or if you watch the bankruptcy court database for mentions of Onlive.

This isn't as bad as the Half-Life 3 at Gamescom stuff from a couple days ago, but it is still pretty non-story right now. I thought that Giantbomb had more info in the update so I clicked on the article. Turns out it was just more "anonymous source" stuff from Kotaku. It's more believable that the company is reformatting, but there is still no official word.

Using a canned security question is less of a thing than choosing an irrelevant security answer you can always remember. What was the first street I lived on? Waffles. First pet? Waffles. Favourite teacher? Waffles. Mother's maiden name? Waffles. One of those might be true, but you see the point. Cracking secret questions are about social engineering, not dictionary attacks.

That's the way to do it. Using an incorrect answer for a security question is like having an easy password without having an easy password. That is, if you don't mind having to reset your password often for not actually remembering your password.

Could it be that the game didn't sell well enough for Konami to dedicate more labor hours into fixing things? It's bad PR, but I don't think people will be hurt about it by the time the next popular Konami title is released.

I guess this is a sign that if you are working at a game development studio you better keep your resume and portfolio updated so you can send it out ASAP.

I'm starting to think that Nintendo desperately needs to get things right with WiiU or they will start some kind of Atari or Sega decline.

Give Patrick a break. He's gone through some shit recently.

That doesn't explain the typographical errors before that stuff. Could it be that either Patrick or the editor is dyslexic and does not know it.

I feel like the headline should read "THQ manages to avoid NASDAQ delisting...for now." I'm approaching this with no business experience, but I still don't think THQ needs to be a public company right now. They tried to reach the sun but they did not become gods like EA and Activision. Instead they got blinded and burned.

Is it really that only 1% of players are affected or only 1% complained?

There are plenty of players who may have already been done with Fez and may never get the chance to see if they would have been affected.

If you keep denying, "they" have to do all the work.

Time for some real game journalism, boys.

It seems like Tomb Raider has been discussed for everything EXCEPT a good action adventure game.

I still prefer Burnout Revenge type games though.

That was basically my point, I hope you know.

Of course, I was just sharpening your point with my point.

I don't want to think that EA is purposely neglecting Burnout, but it seems like they have consolidated their arcade driving games. Burnout Crash sure didn't appease me.
