Really good game, almost great. Great story was held back by clumsy gameplay. It has some great setpieces and legit wow moments for me (I mean, who's too jaded to admit that?). Overall, not as good as the second game which is one of my favorites. I feel the shooting got a little worse this time around. Crushing mode felt much more cheap and out of my hands. Also, the platforming didn't really improve at all.
Stats are important to be, but if it makes my character slower I don't wear it. Characters are much slower in Dark Souls than they were in Demon's Souls and I don't like trudging along. Speed, baby.
Some place other than the U.S. would be nice. Rockstar isn't all that good at handling American culture. It's really just heavy-handed sociopolitical commentary and stereotypes. I'd rather go some place new for a more alien experience. That said, if they don't take the gameplay to the next level as well, such as some form of destructible environments, I probably won't bother.
