"We need a server so we could all meet up and have a place we can call home when ingame. "
I think that's going to be the hardest thing. Probably nobody has a server lying around free to use. So, right now, we could all just frequent the same servers. I spend all of my time on the Stompfest servers: http://stompfest1.hlstatsx.com/?game=tf. They're usually full though, so we should find one mostly empty and HIJACK IT FOR OURSELVES!
I think TF2 is the best multiplayer game ever too. Unlike ParadoxControl, I think its community is much better than Halo's because it uses servers rather than matchmaking. While matchmaking is good for finding games with evenly skilled people and having a full group, servers foster community growth. People play on the same servers often and grow to know everyone else there. I know I only joined the Stompfest site because I played on their servers so often.
Evil daedalus' guides are very outdated, the spy's play-style has changed way too much for his tactics to be viable. "
Yeah, recent updates have changed how the spy plays, but Evil Daedalus has added some annotations that make it a little more up to date. Also, what he says is still useful for beginning spies who don't know what they are doing.
Yeah, as Demilich said, the scope for a giant bomb group for every steam game would be too big. Where are you guys from? If we set up matches, we need a server that has okay latencies for everybody. I'm from the east coast of America.
I like how the breakdown of the comments is: 1. quote of meet the demoman 2. actual way to be a good demo 3. quote of meet the demoman 4. actual way to be a good demo etc.
