Enslaved was great, but it's okay if it's just a standalone story. Not everything needs a sequel, even with an ending like that.

Best parts of the press release:

"We see Homefront as a really strong universe that has a lot of potential and that has been expertly created and marketed by THQ."

"Homefront’s unique setting and storyline captivated gamers the world over."

There is only one game called Homefront, right? Cause we're talking about two different games here.

@NekuSakuraba: If not, it will at least look pretty good, so that's one step up from the original.

http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/09/20/crytek-to-develop-homefront-2/

So Crytek seems to be making Homefront 2. (I guess they really don't like Koreans!) Homefront is one of my least favorite games I've ever played, but if Crytek's going to be doing the sequel, I guess I'm just a tad bit more interested. Sort of. Maybe. But, still. Man. Homefront. Hate that game.

Anyway, I guess it's coming out in 2014, so do your best to contain your excitement?

I've never gotten around to playing the Gears games so I picked up the "triple" pack the other day for like $15 and am making my way through the first two now in possible anticipation of playing 3 soon. I'm not really sure what I think of 1 yet, so we'll see.

Agreed 100% with everything you wrote. The second Vice was over, the game went insane in the worst way possible. I don't think I've ever been more disappointed by a video game.

I've been out of town for the weekend, but I'll be picking it up when I get home tomorrow or Tuesday for sure.

I played it just a few weeks ago for the first time (now that it's out on the PC) and if you like Bioshock 2, you'll like Minerva's Den. It has a much stronger story than most DLC you'll find out there, and I think that's what people react so positively to. The story's good. But, otherwise, mechanically, it's simply more Bioshock 2 so if you're looking for anything new or different there, you won't find it. I thought it was mostly pretty good but a little underwhelming. It was nice, though, to see some thought put into the story.
