Just so you know. In Australia only a few games take a year to be released. Rock Band is one of these. Most we get with a week of the US release.

Also EB is REALLY expensive here. JB is much cheaper(normally $79 for a new release) and has trade in 2 games and get it free deals.

That podcast totally shot any chance of me playing MGS4 to hell. The whole story is ruined, although it would have been a bit hard to talk about it and not spoil it.

Good podcast guys.

Best Graphics here was given to MGS4. Same at Gamespot. Gametrailers gave it to Gears 2.

Now I have to ask. Why didn't Crysis win this? It might not be the best game but by a graphical point it is FAR FAR better than MGS4 and even Gears 2 plus runs better than the original Crysis. They pulled out all the stops and it is definitely the most realistic looking game.
Other games might look better from an artistic view point but Crysis wasn't going for that. It was going for the most realistic look and it did that.

I just really don't get it.

After Brad's 5 star review, the praise it's gotten on the bombcast for like the past 4 weeks and also the praise it got on NeoGAF. I went and picked up.

At first I thought it was great. Fat Banjo at the start, the line of items to collect, Grunty calling the Lord of Games, "Queer", the completely self-awareness that it's a game. It was pretty cool and had a nice charm about it. The graphics are also really nice and I liked how everything is huge.

However, when I got into the first world it took a dive. The missions are so boring! It's just racing and collecting. God, can't there be anything else? The building vehicles is decent but after 30 minutes making something just to find out it sucks for what you want it to do is kind of a bummer. I also started to really hate the music after listening to it for 30 minutes straight.

I was hoping for a change by LogBox 720 but sadly, it was still the same type of missions of running to point A, B and C and returning or racing.

I thought it was stupid people complaining about the lack of platforming but I'm starting to really wish that it had some in it.

I'll keep playing it for now but, man, after the 5 star's here and the massive praise on forums, I was expecting more than this. at least gameplay wise anyway.

I think I have to side with GameTrailers on this one when they gave it 6.7.

Jeff should review underworld, give it a 1 star and the only text reads "1 STAR, BITCHES, 1 STAR. WHATCHA GONNA DO? I'M THE BOSS MAN NOW YOU AIN'T GOT NO ADS ON MY SITE."

;)

But, yeah...Eidos sucks.

Holy fuck! This was like Microsoft's "support". I emailed them saying my controllers stopped syncing and I tried X, Y and Z. The first e-mail was a copy & paste guide of getting the dvd remote to work.

The second time I sent another email saying I'm talking about the controller and not the remote. I get a reply with a copy & paste guide of getting the remote to work.......

Third time I got angry saying they had no idea what I was saying and again asked them about the controller. They sent me a copy & paste guide of 2 of the 3 things I hold them I already did.

I really, really, REALLY, hate fucking support people. I'm always really aggressive with them now because it is the only way to get things fixed. It just makes it worse when they can't understand english without you spelling things out in military alphabet.

I guess that accounts for the success of the wii."
Spend more, not buy the same console 10 times. Casuals are higher in numbers but don't buy as much software. Hardcore gamers are less in numbers but buy much more software. It accounts the reason why 360 software sales are better than the Wii's.
