I kind of doubt the story will be as branching as the varied group compositions at the end might make you think. They will probably have everyone who didn't side with you and is still alive change their minds and come with you to keep the writing simpler and smaller. Remember how they dealt with the Doug/Carley thing? The character played very small parts in episodes 2 and 3, and then were killed off. And that was just with 2 possible different characters in the story, let alone all the different groups possible here.

On another subject, I shot Duck; no man should have to do that to his own son, even in this situation, I felt. Then in episode 4, I wrenched the kid in the attic, as Kenny was clearly close to breaking down over it. It would be poetic in my game to have Kenny be the one to say 'Give me the gun, I'll do it' when Lee's time comes....

I got an N7 Slayer out of a Veteran Pack, so I can't complain too much. Only saw one of the new maps in 7-8 random games tonight, though...

Hard to tell what is sadder - the people that think Colbert is funny, or that an idiot giving money to another idiot is a valid news story....

You should demand more from Giant Bomb's news than yellow journalism and rants pretending to be news...it seems the Alexification of Patrick is now complete, too.

Where did the idea start that any game I buy should be compatible with every system I buy from that company in the future? Nice when it happens, but since when did it become an expectation that the $20 I dropped on Killzone Liberation years ago mean I should be able to play it years later on a completely different hardware?

Oh yeah, I have no intention of buying a Vita anyway. It's an overpriced boat anchor. But I don't need snark filled opinion pieces to tell me I should be outraged and how to handle it.

@xxizzypop: Expecting the news to be of similar quality to the game reviews is too much to hope for, it seems.

@xxizzypop: We can certainly disagree over it, and that is fine. I thought the issue about bringing Patrick here at all was to improve the quality of the news on this site, which was a major weak point in the past. Alex is not doing them any favors in that regard, and even Patrick seems to be slipping into writing agitprop opinion pieces hiding as news. If Giant Bomb wants to be nothing but an insular community of in jokes and tossing out platitudes to appeal to their fan boys, that is their choice. But they should be aware it is turning off some people, too.

If they are getting enough money to keep the sites going from people that like the way things are, that is great. But I am going to stay a casual, non paid member. I have perhaps made the mistake of expecting better from this site than what they are offering up.

It's fine that everyone wants to enjoy Alex's yellow journalism, if that turns you on. It turned me off to the point that I decided NOT to become a premium member here, in part because of that. If you feel that stuff like that is what defines Giant Bomb's 'style', I made the right decision to stay a take or it leave member instead of committing any actual $$$s. This is after following the crew from Gamespot to here.

Bottom line - It's Apple's store, and they have no obligation to allow their platform to be used to criticize them. They are not a government entity, so there is no freedom of speech there. Just as there is not on Xbox Live, either. Have all you hypocrites turned in your 360s and PS3s too, seeing as how Foxconn made those too?

At one time I considered being a premium member here. I'm glad I didn't. I feel I am getting what I paid for now....

@NoelVeiga: I agree with you....the site claims to want to take news seriously, but then does stuff like this. I called out Alex Navarro for his childish screed about the Deus Ex/Gamestop affair  masquerading as news, but no one cares. It is clear this is not going to be a news site. There is a time and place for editorials, and they have a podcast where they can offer opinions. Just keep it out of the news stories. And they wonder why game journalists aren't taken seriously....
