The problem with the argument is that DLC can be crappy to one person and really worth it to another. For instance my cousin and I. My cousin LOVES playing Gears of War 1 and 2 online. That's pretty much all he plays. For a few bucks, he can purchase new multiplayer maps which in my opinion are overpriced (was a little better priced with the All Fronts Collection but still a little too much) and it's seriously worth it to him because he hasn't bought another game since Gears 2 came out. For him it's good DLC. For me, no thanks.
I know I'm not giving any solutions here but the line between what makes good DLC and bad DLC can change between players. All we can do is look at the facts on a DLC to DLC basis and determine if the cost is worth the return. Forums like this also help because we can collaborate. I try to do my part and only purchase DLC that was obviously cared for.... but new content is a helluva drug.
If you zoom in a bit, you will see the names of areas on the map. That's all you really get with those maps. Plus if you're camping, the bigger locations show up in your travel selection.
" So far that's what it seems, I have a deed for a black standard American bred horse that i keep using. If yer horse dies you'll get a random horse when you whistle but all you have to do is use the deed in yer inventory and whistle to get that horse again. "
That's awesome; I thought they were one-time purchases. I propose a question then: There's an achievement for using the same horse for 20 missions without hitching a new one. So if my horse dies because some cougar was hungry, and I use the deed to whistle for the same horse type I was using, can I still unlock this achievement? Or does it have to be the same exact horse for 20 missions?
