Jesus - people are dumb. If anyone who is dumping on this REALLY knew how projects USUALLY get funded - they would be shocked. Starting companies/projects is dirty messy shit, and often requires that you sell your soul to the devil. In no way is this exploitation. If you think it is, go pitch one of your ideas to a VC or a studio and let us know how it goes.

Not sure about the 360 - but on the PC you can see your version number by looking in the lower left corner on the screen with the save/load game options once in game.

Let's get something clear right off - its not a game console anymore. It's a media center that can also play games. Seriously. The next XBox is rumored to be announced at CES. Ask yourself why. Why not E3? Because games are no longer primary. That's just the market. So, while it sucks, stop acting surprised that the game functionality has been reduced to a citizen of the XBox.

Got it. Going to take a while to get used to the new Netflix interface. It's better for sure - but very different. The search is awesome. I'm going to love it once they add more content. I did the obvious "star trek" search and was happy to see Netflix thrown in with the rest, unlike earlier reports indicated. Selecting an episode launched Netflx and started the episode. Awesome.

I give them credit for trying to sell the backwards dragon as a feature (rare and amazing!). Ha!

I actually turned off my network connection on my PC to play last night - to make sure that it didn't patch. What was amazing is that I gained about 5 fps running Steam in offline mode. Is this normal?! I might run in offline all the time!

On a side note, does anyone know how to check the version you are running? I went looking for it to double check that I didn't get patched, and couldn't find it anywhere.

Can someone confirm if the patch has been taken down? My PC is powered down - before I fire it up to play, I want to make sure I don't get borked.

@Gav47: Yeah. As I said in another thread, I'm pretty sure I'm going to go PC version with a 360 controller. If, however, the benefits are minimal on the PC over the console (excluding mods), I'll probably just get the 360 version. I'm an achievement whore anyway - even though I only have 12k points :)
