Or at least consider going to Anime Vice? On the first page alone, including all the Stickied threads, there are as of this posting (this one included ) FIVE THREADS about anime. 
Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing anime, or manga, and I even defended it one or two of those threads. And I'm not bashing the people who enjoy it, and want to talk about it. But can we try and focus to just a couple of threads? Maybe have a mod sticky one for us to post in? I mean there's even a thread with a guy asking for links for downloading, which is about as close to a TOS violation as this place really gets!  
I know it's the Off Topic thread, but can't we talk some things that are not japanese animated shows, or recommendations, or about how mature or childish it might be, et al? And again, if you are just down for that kind of talk, there is the WM sister site that needs some clicks. Go, talk, wiki edit. Just tone it down over here for a few days maybe?

Most users over here have figured out that no one will respond to their thread over at Anime Vice.  Their thread will get faster responses over here.  Don't get me wrong, Anime Vice is awesome, but it's a really, really small community.

I'm pretty sure out of the 5 sites Giantbomb has the largest community (I'm assuming). So there is a higher chance of getting a response here than on the other site. Thats what the off topic section is for anyways.

though admittedly i rarely use anime vice and would not go there to talk anime, whilst i reply to anime topics here

I'm certainly not part of the anime thread "problem", but if I were to make an anime topic, I'd make it here at GiantBomb. Why? It's simple: if someone's an active AnimeVice member, he or she is probably into today's anime, and virtually all of today's anime sucks balls. I don't want to discuss anime with someone whose taste sucks balls.

Binman88's response was perfect, and the thread should have stopped there. AnimeVice is a dead site; nobody wants to post anime threads over there because they won't get as many responses. And you completely ignored the fact that, by this logic, all movie related threads should be on Screened, all comic related threads should be on ComicVine, and all tech related threads should be on Tested. That's ridiculous. There's a reason the off-topic forum exists.  I'm in the process of writing an anime review and I'm probably going to post it on the forums because I find it amusing when your guys get so worked up over anime on the forums.

See, I wasn't even suggesting that, just a reduction; a focused approach. Let them have their anime threads, just not over....9000!!!! How hard  would it be to even just have an Anime/manga/bizarrojapaneseshit Board, that all the lovers could add to their favorites list, and play around in, and the haters could ignore [or troll]? Couldn't be any worse than Hamburgers.

People don't like being forced to do something. If there's always a poster that suggests to go to AnimeVice instead for every anime thread, it will just make them want to stay here.
