The only problem I have with the kill cam (from playing the beta, of course, so this may change) is that the camera tends to push through the player and it just looks kind of broken. Also, it's not quite a kill cam -- it shows you the person who killed you, but not how they killed who (as in, it's not a replay of events like in CoD). I think it's ultimately unnecessary.

But honestly, it's such a minor feature that I don't think it impacts gameplay at all.

Harry Potter.

Back when the the whole Harry Potter movie craziness started, I didn't pay much attention to it. But I ended up seeing Prisoner of Azkaban in theaters and thought, "hey, that was actually kinda cool," so I read the books. I think it's a fun series. Nothing extraordinary, but I appreciate the mass appeal.

As for Twilight...I do not even acknowledge its existence.

Killzone 2.

I can't tell you why, exactly. It's partly the controls. But there's something about the game that is just so...boring. I've tried many, many times to get into it (haven't made it through the single player), and every once in a while I'll jump into a multiplayer match just to see if it will "click" with me, but it never does. Something's off. The graphics are great and I want to like it (especially since I paid full price), but it's one of the few games I regret buying this gen.

I was very excited and then, suddenly, I was not.

That's a very cool mock-up, and I'd by it instantly...if it were real.

All you need is your ps3 box, a bunch of cardboard, stapler, tape, scissors, and a hairdryer.

This generation of gaming is awesome.

Luckily, my PS3 (launch 60gb) hasn't had to deal with the YLOD. It's had other problems, of course, like an occasionally vanishing XMB, but other than that...

I think I would, FB and Twitter integration does not interest me at all, same as netflix, but I would go premium for the trophy’s being accepted as a monetary value, I would also go premium if they had some sort of Download accelerator for DLC, full game downloads and PS3 updates, because it is slow as all hell.

I agree about the Facebook and Twitter thing -- while it's a nice sentiment from Microsoft and now Sony (I guess), I only really use consoles for gaming. Now, if having a premium service inevitably led to the PSN being faster and more integrated (easy friend invitations to games, XMB voice chat, like you said full game downloads, and heck let's throw in being able to play your music in the background independent of whatever you're doing), then I welcome such a service with open arms.

I'm not sure how I'd feel about trophies being exchangeable for PS Store credits, though. That idea has been around for a long while, but I just think that trophies and achievement points should remain a nice little extra incentive to increase the life of a game and nothing more. But that's just me.

A long time ago I was trying to think up a new forum handle (for the Star Wars Galaxies forum, in fact, back when the game wasn't synonymous with crap). So, you know, put two nouns together and hope it sounds decent and there you go. It stuck with me when I set up my Xbox Live and PSN accounts.

Not very original, though. Apparently it's also the title of some old Dennis Hopper movie about a killer mermaid. So whatever.

I'm not sure how I'd feel about it, if it does actually come to pass.

On one hand, it'd give Sony more money to work on the PSN and improve it. On the other, being free is the only thing (in my opinion) that gives the Playstation Network any kind of advantage over Xbox Live, and if they intend to charge then the service really has to be "premium," and not just what we already have. Having to pay for it in its current state would really bring to light how hollow the network currently is (in my opinion, of course).

Naturally, if the online multiplayer remains free, it doesn't really matter.

I haven't had anyone try to steal my care packages. And if I die (either by enemy fire or, say, getting hit by my own care package as it falls from the sky), then it's fair game. Most of the time I can get back to it before anyone else, anyway.
