Does it involve any real walking around? For whatever reason, I can’t do that in VR. Give me SuperHot all day, but anything where I need to stand while my character walks FUCKING DESTROYS ME almost immediately. Trying to tough it out just makes me nauseous for an hour or so.

No shame in giving foreign films the top spot. You get so accustomed to the same old shit in US cinema, that I love getting some different sensibilities in there. It stands out and makes an impact.

Variety and diversity are great!

I’d be curious about this for folks who don’t work out at all, and those that already do some strength and cardio and supplement it with Ring Fit Adventure.

I’d also be curious if folks from those groups have seen their interest or progress plateau.

I’m skeptical of this stuff, but it’s always cool when it works for folks. Awesome to see people taking care of themselves...

@sethmode: Well, you’re wondering how people have the time to watch it all. That’s an assumption, and a logical one. But it could also be that they feel like there’s less because they’re interested in a lower percentage of total content and watching less overall as a result.

If Netflix was 90% kids programming, I might wonder where all the content is. It’s there, it’s just content I’m completely overlooking due to lack of interest.

@sethmode: Like @bigsocrates: mentioned, I’d guess a lot of it isn’t quantity, it’s perceived quality.

@sombre: Ha! Yeah, I’ve fallen off. I check content maybe once a week, I’ve unsubscribed from podcasts...the only thing that catches my eye anymore is the Business Dave Top 10. I’m going to let premium lapse.

It just seems like the magic and energy that embodied this site for over a decade is gone.

I hope they continue to do well and the new fans dig the current content, but I’m amicably withdrawing. It bums me out, but I’ve been enjoying what the GB crew has put out since Arrow Pointing Down. You can’t get 10 years out of much these days, so that’s a damned feat in itself.

Netflix has a Behind the Scenes podcast, I guess they started it for Stranger Things...anyhow, episode 1 for The Witcher was a pretty good listen. Maybe check it out, folks!

@liquiddragon: I generally dislike animated stuff. I’m not a fan of animation, in general, but the acting style that usually accompanies it is also not my thing.

If it doesn’t hurt the live-action series, I’m happy for those who are into the idea!

It’s really weird to see Witcher be viewed as this tentpole series. Good on all involved!

While I loved a lot of those games, including Police Quest, King’s Quest, Space Quest, Monkey Island, and others...

Maniac Mansion is my favorite AND it holds up. This might be heresy, but I’d go with the NES version for the music.

Also, maybe check-out Thimbleweed Park:

It’s also a Ron Gilbert game. It’s a retro throwback that plays like those old games AND incorporates modern sensibilities.

@bigsocrates: Yep. I mostly use the forums. I’m not on social media, reddit, whatever. This is basically my Internet time.

Agreed about folks wanting the old days. I miss the old days. It’s clearly not going back to that. I think Vinny still has that energy, but it takes more than one person. Maybe it’s not fair to want what’s gone, but that’s what I’d like.

I’ve recently stopped watching everything but the Business Dave Top 10. I only listen to The Aftermath. I do think Jeff and Ben can bring it on that show.

I’m going to hang on to my subscription to see if it turns around. I realize that what I see as “turning around” is not something they seem to be interested in. I’m happy for the first 10 years of this site. If I bow out entirely, I’ll be okay with it.
