OS Disk, but that name is pretty dry. I commonly name my drives after something, and somehow incorporate it with the word monolith (because, y'know, a hard drive is a giant intelligent slab of metal): Dark Monolith, Flat Monolith, Tealith...

Of course, I've never even come close to breaking a Nintendo system. I once dropped my Gamecube out a second story window onto concrete (don't ask) and it still worked great. Durable systems.

Have you owned a DS Lite?

Those things are prone to break in two places: the hinge and the shoulder buttons. I've had both problems across both the systems that I have owned. Nintendo does not fix these two things within warranty (even though both problems are common enough to be considered a manufacturing issue).

@clonedzero:

Oh baby show off those angles and curves!

But seriously, this is stupid. A teaser trailer for the BOX. WHAT IS GOING ON!

Oddly, this is the thing a lot of people want to see (I know, right?). Sony is making an above the bar marketing move by teasing their biggest known unknown on the heels on Microsoft's announcement. Sony is making the best out of their advertizing by taking hype away from the Xbox just before the Xbox reveal.

Sony's got their stuffing together.

I especially liked the pixel art of the monsters especially in the Yellow version. If you look at the Red and Blue monster pixel art for the monsters (or Green and Red, if you're a Japanophile), they just were not up to the standards of Yellow: the monsters just looked wrong and inaccurate in the previous versions. I think Game Freak really stepped up their game with Yellow.

The potential ability of the share button seems to be contradictory to the recent legal practices of publishers.

Months ago, I began hearing word that walkthroughs were being removed from Youtube because of DMCA requests. the owner of YTMND has been contacted to remove content including Sonic, like other IPs, and stop profiting from those posts (note: each YTMND deficits a few dollars). It doesn't seem too far from game journalists being seen as pirates by publishers back in the days.

When I saw the press conference, the share button seemed a little bit iffy because of the above reasons. Publishers probably have the right to block and take down share functionality on their games. I can understand the take down if the reason who was because the content is something offensive or the person sharing is doing it just to be a spoiler troll (although I don't really care much about spoilers), but I hope takedowns don't occur just because "DCMA: nuff' said.".

My ultimate question posed is:

Who controls the button?

(sorry, bad pun)

There is away for Steam to default to the small games list during start-up. Sony consoles since the PSX have the XMB interface without ads. I don't understand how people will enjoy the next Xbox with a barrage of ads, let alone enjoy it while paying for the ads every month. In the next generation, I want the interface to recognize players as the consumers and not as the merchandise, as is the case with advertizement model on the "experience".

DEFINITELY don't trust steam with games this old.

I agree, buying KotOR on Steam and having it just not work really ticked me off, it's not Steam's fault that the game doesn't work but I don't think they should be selling games that won't work for the majority of their users.

I preface my argument with this: tacking on what I am about to say to any argument about Valve's Steam release decisions is going to get old and tiring any day now.

I think that there is a logical dissonance between the buggy, often crappy games people say are released on Steam and the perfectly good games on Steam Greenlight that are barred from release.

Does SS2 still need to launch with single processor affinity and certain graphical options? I also know that it needed to be launched in compatibility mode (avoids crashing) and with a certain video codec installed (DiVX, I think, to play any cutscene). Do you still have to do that?

Also, I know that this game's rights are held by a third party. I want to hear the story about how this game even got permission to be re-released, because that's an amazing feat right there!

When emotional, I trip alarms in my head and often get away from the medium in question, taking a break and calming down.

I forgot Anastasia was Don's: yeah, I'd go with that.

Does anybody remember Thumbelina and Balto? Probably all dogs go to heaven.

Actually, I'm going to go with Disney's animated Robin Hood.

Yes, some questions do not seem proof-read, but this thread will not change anything. Even if you shout directly at the people responsible, these people will not change.

I haven't put up a question for anyone yet, but I know how these people feel. I often proof read several times and still write stupid stuff. Give them a break, don't be a prat, and be humble; these people are like you and I: we are all fans of what Giant Bomb does here regardless of language barriers or proof-reading tendencies.
