Alright so now I've started trying to play online matches in SF5 finally and man. I'm so used to MK where my adrenaline causing me to do things quickly works out because the timing on combo inputs is very fast. So far I've messed around with a handful of characters online for a few matches (Ryu, Guile, Balrog, Cammy, Laura, Alex and Nash) and I have yet to win a single match with anyone other than Ryu and Cammy. So even though I wouldn't call them the characters I find the most interesting I've decided I'm going to try to focus on using either Ryu or Ken. I'm leaning towards Ryu since he is the "OG" so he seems like he would be a good character to use to get the fundamentals down eventually. Are there any big advantages Ken would have that you guys know of?

Also any tips for both of their Trial #10? For Ryu I'm having a ton of trouble getting the first hit of the axe kick to connect consistently, I try to take a step forward after the counter heavy kick but I find I rarely get it (and when I do it comes as such a surprise that I fuck up the light kick into tatsu. For ken I lose it somewhere with cancelling the first fireball into the second fireball, the few times I have hit it I just mess up the CA input lol.

I think the console nerf to the Torbjorn turret is definitely needed. I've been on too many offense teams on payload maps that get rolled by teams with 2-3 torbs. I use characters that let me take out 1 turret no problem in these scenarios (mainly reaper) but by the time I have one down the other gets me and then they can build it back while I respawn. Sometimes I have some teammates who know whats up and we're good but that is rarely the case in these scenarios.

Also they need something for D.Va, I have had some good runs with her but the combination of the movement slowdown when shooting, the fall-off of the range at which the weapons are useful, and the headshot hitbox being both huge and centre mass makes it difficult to stay in the mech long.

I'd also find a midpoint for Mcree on console. I think the damage nerf was justified but it is much harder to be accurate on console so I'd maybe give him a little damage back.

Oh and I like Symmetra but I think she could benefit from something simple and small, like a slight boost in how fast the secondary fire on her weapon charges. Not a huge increase but a small one would be cool.

Hey guys so I finally bit the bullet and grabbed SFV. I couldn't resist that sale price. Any character recommendations for a beginner? I've messed around in training/trials a bit and I think the characters I find most interesting are Alex, Guile, Balrog and Lara. I feel the most comfortable with Ryu and Ken but I do find them a little boring (I tend to avoid the "box art" guys, like in MK I just about never play Scorpion or Sub). Balrog is very interesting to me but I've never been the greatest at charge characters from the little I've played of other SF games, and I also feel like early on I should maybe stick with a shoto.

Also I'm playing on a basic DualShock 4 for now, should I keep the buttons mapped to the default or is there an alternative layout anyone would recommend.

edit: Also messed around with Necalli a bit in training mode and he seemed pretty fun. I haven't tried any trials yet.

I was a big fan of GTA 5. Unfortunately I never got into the online, I feel like if I was in high school when it came out and I still had a large group of friends on one console then it would have been a pretty great time.

I played it on both PS3 and PS4, it's been quite awhile since I last played but I only have two big criticisms that stand out to me even to this day. While I understand why the characters had their own unique vehicles I wish there was a better way to keep/keep track of the vehicles you steal/buy and customize to make your own. The other big one that really pissed me off was that they never fixed the glitch with the tow truck missions, which is the only thing I had left to do to get the 100%.

It's kind of crazy to me that a guy I might not even have in the top 5 at MW is now the champion. I'm very curious to see what the odds are for his first defense because I would probably have him as an underdog against all of the big contenders (Jacre, Weidman, Romero, and even Rockhold).

Also I think it's funny that in one night Bobby Green gets KOed while taunting Poirier to "Bring it" and Rockhold shows no effect from Bisping's early shots so he goes in hands down and gets blasted.

Also I still can't get over that comeback by Hendo.

Oh and I know that there's some beef with Zuffa and Ariel Helwani, but escorting him out of the arena and banning him for life right before the main event started because he broke the incredibly predictable Lesnar news comes off as petty to me, especially when you take into account his firing from Fox for basically asking questions people wanted to know the answer to (which many also assume Zuffa was responsible for). I know they don't want their announcements spoiled or the hard questions asked but the man is doing his job and I feel the majority of fans who follow him do so because he does these things that have caused these issues for him.

Even if they have beef with him also handing lifetime bans to his photographer and video director whose only crimes were being at the event with Ariel just seems childish. It also sounds like either the UFC is muzzling people over this or MMAFighting has told it`s writers not to speak about this so they can attempt to repair their relationship with Zuffa, if we see MMAFighting release Ariel in the next few days I think it will be pretty clear what`s going on. Time will tell.

That's interesting. I also play on PS4 and I almost never see 2 people playing the same character at the beginning of the match. Occasionally I'll see 2 Widowmakers or 2 of one of the offensive classes (mostly Mcree and Reaper) but that's not often. I do see more duplicates later in matches but it tends to be in response to how the game is going. For example I'll start seeing double Reinhardts later on in some games if the team is getting pounded near objectives.

I absolutely love James Bond and have no idea how anyone can pick a favourite. I might be able to give you a favourite from each actor (after writing this I realized I put so many "close to favourites" in brackets after each favourite that I almost listed half of them so I took out all that.

I need to rewatch a few but the choice between Goldfinger and From Russia with Love was hard. The Spy Who Loved me is definitely my favourite Moore film but I have a bunch in competition for the number two spot. I couldn't even imagine trying to rank all of them let alone just getting Connery and Moore's into order by themselves. Brosnan is easy (Goldeneye, TND, WNE, DAD), same with Craig (CR, Skyfall, Spectre, QoS).

But man I first started watching Bond films when I was 7 renting all of them on VHS with my folks. It's kind of foolish how many times I've watched a full Bond film from beginning to end. I think I would watch any of them except Die Another Day or Octopussy if someone asked me to right now. Actually if anyone of my friends came up to me today and was like "I haven't seen many Bond films, want to watch 1-3 a day and go through all of them?" I'd be super down.

So this occurred on the PS4 version, which has otherwise been quite smooth.

I was just wondering if anyone else had this happen. I was level 9 just crossing into 10 at the end of a match. I decided to exit out to open my crate. I was greeted with a black screen, so I decided to quit out and restart it and when it loads back up I'm level 8 and I believe I lost the stuff I got in my level 9 crate, although it's hard to tell for sure since it was just some voice samples and sprays I didn't care for.

Also does anyone know when the game saves your progress, because I probably played 5-10 matches between when I hit level 8 and when I had this odd reversion without exiting out.
