I only tried the demo, but it looks like a great improvement. I wasn't that good at the original (I think my top score was about 500k), but Pacificism mode sounds like fun. I think there was an achievement in the first one for surviving without firing a weapon for a certain amount of time.1 year, 3 months ago

Not a bad idea. When I want to play along, I hook up my MP3 player to my amp. Doesn't eliminate the original guitar track, but if I turn it up you just hear the guitar you're playing with the rest of the track.1 year, 3 months ago

This is just about the only FPS that has gripped me. All-round fantastic atmosphere and a great plot (with more than a few twists).

@Darro - It's looking that way! I'm sure as a fellow Shenmue fan you'll share my reservations about celebrating just yet (some rumors going around suggest it might be a port of the first two games), but it's looking like the impossible, a Shenmue conclusion, will become possible :D I've not had a change to check out your music blog yet, but Shenmue has some fantastic music. Super slick and stylish action puzzler. I love its simplicity and wealth of maps, plus it's more than a bit challenging.
Alright, no messing around here. Shenmue III: looks like it's coming (brought to my attention by linkyshinks' blog). Those images appear to confirm a conclusion to one of my favorite franchises ever. As a naturally cautious person who has been cynicalised by years of waiting for this game, I'd still like a concrete "Shenmue III is coming out" statement from SEGA. But anyway, this is bloody fantastic.
It hasn't been that long since Jeff and co. left GameSpot, has it? A couple of months at the most? Have to say this is a real impressive. Still getting familiar with all these unfamiliar features, but I like what I'm seeing.
