There's something about this game that makes it irresistable. Something about its very concept; a full fledged open fantasy world that just screams ADVENTURE, or the music; a masterpiece by Jeremy Soule, or the sheer amount of content and things to do, make all the flaws(which are not few) seem excusable, when at times they're not. At times one of the most broken and laughably unimmersive open world games, and(i believe) most times a magically immersive and memorable experience. A true landmark in western RPGs, despite the glaring flaws.
PROS:
-The sheer sense(or illusion) of freedom in the well written and surprisingly cohesive fantasy world
-Meticulously written lore, bringing welcome depth to the experience
-Some very memorable story moments, specially in sidequests or secondary questlines
-A very interesting way the presentation is handled, close to realism but at the same time with a unique visual style ressembling Tolkien-esque elements.
-Masterpiece score by Jeremy Soule
-Brimming with content
-Legitimately fun combat, if only a little repetitive and limited
CONS:
-Countless bugs, even game breaking ones that ruin the entire experience
-Laughably thin characters, one has to really use their imagination to get attached to any of them
-Main questline is the least interesting of the few
-NPC interactions are limited at best; easily the most unimmersive aspect of the game
-Many badly implemented mechanics and systems, like pickpocket, magic, and the whole skilltree element.
-Sacrificed complexity and difficulty for accessibility, making the game thinner and easier than it could have been
