As a person who also wears glasses, only glasses - no contacts, the moral of the story is always have a spare set. Whenever I get new frames, I keep my old ones in a drawer in case my preferred pair breaks or gets lost. Many of the "glasses in an hour" places often have 2 for 1 sales. You might want to get a second set from one of these deals.
In that case - HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAAAAAHHAAAHAAAAAAAAAA YOU STILL CAN'T DRINK LEGALLY HAAHAHAAAAAAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Yeah, but he can go to war and be judged a sex offender for having sex with his 17 year old girl friend (if he has one). So, happy birthday and welcome to the big leagues, ArmoredCore55.
"But we still haven't defined art. And honestly, we're not going to do so here."
I stopped reading the article at this point because if I don't know how he defines "Art" then whether video game are or aren't art can't be argued because art itself is undefined. It's like saying Jayge is smart. Is he "book smart", "common sense smart", "wise-ass smart", "deep thinking smart", "smart in comparison to his friends" or "smart in comparison to Nobel Prize winners"? All of the above, none of the above, some of the above...with no common acceptance of what smart means, any and all of the choices are possible.
In 1964, Justice Potter Stewart said, to paraphrase, "I don't know what obscenity is, but I know it when I see it." The same can be said of art. Roger Ebert (who's film opinions I respect) has an understanding of art that is particular to him. I may not have that same understanding, and may accept other things as art and dismiss other things as well. If the author of the article doesn't want to define art from his viewpoint, then everything he says about video games as art (or not) has no context and no value.
I don't know if video games are art. Frankly, I don't care if they are or aren't. But if someone is going to make the argument in either direction, they better lay down the ground rules before making their case.
I used to listen to Curt on the podcast The Instance: A World of Warcraft Podcast. He's a bright guy with a passion for MMOs and a lot of knowledge on the subject. I don't feel sorry for him, though. Not because he's rich or because I am a bitter Yankees fan (which are both true), but because I don't know that his game is going to fail. Vin Diesel is a famous guy, too who made some fun games, too. I still believe that there is more room in the genre of MMOs that aren't affiliated with Blizzard. I don't know if Schilling's game will be able to compete with the Jumpgates, SW Old Republics, Agencies, Earthrises & various superheroes MMOs of the world, but it stands as good a chance as any of them since they'll all be vying for the public's attention.

Yeah, basically I take it you're looking for Guild Wars.
I think people are saying that even though you sight Guild Wars as a game you've played, that's the game you should try if your looking for a good online multiplayer game that is not necessarily an MMO. (In fairness, BoG also mentioned PSO.)
Anyway, since you mentioned Diablo, I felt I should bring up Titan Quest. The "Gold" edition runs for $20 on Amazon, and includes the expansion. It is also available for download off Steam. Here is a Youtube of the multiplayer in action: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXal402yQ5w
Keeping in the same genre, Neverwinter Nights 2 has a multiplayer element where parties can be formed up. And, if you have an Xbox 360, Fable 2 has glowy orbs that let you know your friends are playing too and you can then invite them to play in your world with you.
I started with P3 FES because I figured their would be things in P4 that would improve and I wouldn't want to go back. I don't know, but I don't have much trouble with the UI at all. It just requires some memorization of spells and where items/skill are.
The story is great though, so I think that is worth any inconveniences you may encounter.
