It's definitely not nonsense. The Mass Effect page is another good example. I love this game as much as the next guy, but we have a huge page which contains no mention of the common criticisms leveled at the game. The "Reception" section isn't actually devoted to giving an accurate depiction of the game's reception, instead opting to lavish more praise on Bioware (as if they needed it). I'm not saying that every criticism must be represented, but the long elevator rides and vehicle mechanics of ME were so maligned that they became the butt of jokes in the gaming community, and writing a reception section without mentioning negative reactions is essentially meaningless.
The fact that this is a fan-made database means this will probably always be a problem, but certainly a style guide couldn't hurt.
