@rasrimra: Jason is a huge Monster Hunter player. He was in the hundreds of hours counts on 4 and has said he is hyped for Generations. He was able to get Drew to dip his toe into the series too. I am definitely hyped for Gen. I agree, the individual weapons in 4 all had a unique feel and added a lot of depth to that game. And it sounds like they are going to be leaning even more into that so I am really hoping to get more info out of E3 about the mechanics that will be new or changed in this one.
Cool! I thought Jason was just into fighting games XD I guess there is fighting in Monhun, too. I'll have to pay more attention to him!
Ah the only thing I heard about Generations that worries me a little is how much I like that the terrain is very important in 4 Ultimate. It was a real step up from previous Monhun games so I hope they keep that in the game somehow... Even a little. Their idea of having a more agile stance could kind of circumvent that and that could be a shame.
Does anyone on the GB staff dig Monhun? I'm hyped for Generations but I have no people to relate to, even online. It's like most people are put off by the controls which is insane. 4 Ultimate had a great moveset for almost all the 14 weapon classes. I think Nintendo confirmed we'll hear more of it at E3.
Doom 64 was one of the first games I tried to find when I bought my first N64 a couple of years ago. It's actually exceptional, in a not-really-doom-and-definitely-substandard-to-the-original kind of way.
Yeah the game looks like a ton of fun. Don't know why they were so angry at it XD
