I'm confuzzled. Don't Americans pronounce Google the same way the rest of the world pronounces Snooker? To me they sound the same... >__>;

Or loop. Or droop. Or snoop. Or moon. Or stool. Or trooper.

Is there a difference that I am not hearing... or is Dan being weird again.

None of those words are anything like snooker though. You're focusing on the double o, but completely forgetting that it's followed by a K. Any words that have double o's followed by a k we Americans tend to pronounce just how Dan was pronouncing snooker. Hook, book, look, crook, took, shook, etc. Or, to be super precise; cooker, looker, hooker, etc.

Ah. Hmm. They never taught me this in English class, and I never noticed it online. That's why I was wondering what I was missing. So you make it a little shorter, right? I think I found the sound (http://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/looker). It's almost like an 'u' sound in buck but still trying to be an 'o'.

It looks like a great game but I'm slowly coming to the conclusion that I may not like 3rd person shooters and I have no idea why that is... Especially because I do like 1st person shooters...

Haven't been big on the new Tomb Raider games and the previous Uncharted games even though they look like games that I should LOVE to bits.

Or maybe it's their cinematic nature? Man, it's weird not liking something as much as you think you should. Normally I know why I like something and why I don't.

It was in the "how to play" section @danryckert showed you all before playing.

I know, right? XD It kinda hurt to watch that.
It IS Unprofessional Friday's, but don't be afraid to look at how to play something sometimes. It only takes a minute or so and we'll understand... I hope?! I would, anyway.

I'm sure the comments section to this review will be calm, tame, understanding and reasonable.

Also, if you want a good Star Fox game, play Sin and Punishment 2 because that game is awesome.

Man I don't think Sin and Punishment 2 is good at all. Kind of had my hopes on this being a good Star Fox 64 sequel. I liked that one a lot more when it comes to on rail shooting. Sad to see it fail. I hope the genre isn't dead now.

Hmm. I'm not Dan and I don't want to speak for him, but these are my thoughts on the matter.

Dan isn't the developer. It's not his job to think of how to make games better, he just needs to share how he feels about the game. It would be nice if he could give an example of what they could have done with the franchise and I 100% understand it if that seems impossible, but he can't know what they could have done with the franchise because he isn't making the game with their time and budget and bosses, and it isn't his job to think of the games that should be made. The developers make the game, and he looks at it as is. If he would feel that it could have been done better, then it does not matter whether that is true. I think.

And he didn't necessarily dock points for that, in that it would have been a perfect game if it were a little less familiar. If Dan would be unable to name any specific flaw with a game, that doesn't mean that it would be a perfect experience. (You could say that is because a reviewer is not perfect at finding and isolating problems or at separating what makes a good game good from the personal preferences, and the medium of a review is not perfect for exposing all the little things that play into creating the gaming experience. Things do get lost in translation.)

Does calling it a remake excuse it from whatever limitations that come with a remake... That is an interesting discussion to be had because in a way it does. One wouldn't complain about a puzzle game for not having RPG elements. One doesn't complain about an on rail shooter for being on rails... Or don't we? Looking at the incredible production values of this remake I could imagine a little voice in Dan's mind going: "Wa-ha-ha! Waluigi played all of this before!"

Dan, Star Fox Zero isn't full price (unless you buy Star Fox Guard with it).
Just a heads up.
