@TurboMan That scared the crap out of me also. Jumped out of my seat and had to take the headset off for a moment.

Had a friend who couldn't play Mirror's Edge because of this.

@jeff mentioned on the Bombcast he had it figured out about 2/3 through the game. I had similar thing myself, but a bit later on. Specifically when you and Elizabeth finally come face to face with Comstock in the garden and he eludes you know something about her finger and why she wears that thimble. I figured Booker was Columbia's previous Songbird and perhaps he'd pecked her finger off (lol), I couldn't put the pieces together but it was something along the lines of that.

Did anyone else have any other theories which fell by the wayside as the twist began to unravel?

P.S. I'd love to see the Bomb Crew do a Spoilercast of Infinite, if only to hear Jeff's theory.

@TrulyAlive That is amazing! Now that I think of it, I remember an Voxophone where someone mentions someone's music and dubs them the "Mozart of Columbia". Thanks for clearing that up! This game just gets better and better!

@runcrash +1 I think you've got it all there. Summed it up very nicely!

@Pudge Hopefully the insignificance of choices was to throw you off the scent and final twist. Like Ryan said, these game is fucking with your preconceptions from the off.

But seriously, what about that music? When I heard this when seeing Elizabeth for the first time I thought it would fit perfectly besides any Disney animated feature of the 90s (like Beauty and the Beast) – it's just that good!

Yeah, I was wondering how they had the barbershop quartet singing "God Only Knows" when that song came out sometime during the 60s. Same with "Tainted Love" playing in one of the bars in Shantytown.

By the way, did anyone catch the Cyndi Lauper "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" cameo hidden behind a tear? That was awesome!

So, I bought the Season Pass and got the bonus pre-order DLC with it, one of which includes 5 Infusions.

If I use those 5 Infusions in my current saved game, loaded from a checkpoint to unlock the Infusion Achievement, will I still be eligible for the 5 Infusions if I start a new game on 1999 Mode?

The op is definitely onto something though. I specifically remember when you pick a side of the coin (say heads for arguments sake), they mention something along the lines of:

See, I told you he wouldn't pick tails, he never does.

Does this have something to do with Booker repeating this rescue time and time again within an infinite loop? Is there a third timeline where he is unable to save Elizabeth if he doesn't partake in the drowning of himself at the baptism. Is Old Elizabeth standing above a burning New York the result of a third timeline, wherein Booker is stuck in an infinite loop, unable to rescue Elizabeth causing her to age and take Comstock's place?

FUCK! That ending was terrific!

I posted this is the other thread, but wanted to run this theory by a couple of you guys/gals:

In the bit where you first come across the Lutece's for the first time in Columbia and they have a chalkboard and ask you to pick a side of a coin. On the chalkboard, there's a tally. Almost 200 have chosen heads.

See, I told you he wouldn't pick tails! He never does.
