I really liked risen for the most part. I would avoid the sequel though. One thing that you must know about that game is that it is better to have an idea of what you want to develop your character as before playing and where to go, because the game doesn't explain any of that. For example, monastery for mage, bandit camp for axe guy, city for sword or polearm. Once you are locked into a faction you are basically locked in.

I also liked divinity 2:ego draconis and expansion. Basically, the complete pack contains all the bug fixes, gameplay improvements and enhanced graphics. The game has ok action based combat and large explorable environments. Kingdoms of amalur reminds me of divinity 2 in a lot of ways, but KOA is more polished but more boring and the combat in KOA is smoother but less deep than in divinity 2. Its also funny and has some creative dialog. The game was overlooked but I think its pretty damn good especially in its fixed state.

@giantstalker: I don't want to be judgemental but thats kind of fucked up.

As for me, I would generally leave people be if it didn't affect me. But it depends on the specific nature of what's happening. If I saw someone abusing others or taking advantage of their power to screw people over I would take action. There are certain lines that should not be crossed. I have noticed that a lot of the people who talk and complain about professional ethics are often the people who are secretly violating their own policies. There is nothing worse than a hypocrite. Also, what people do in their private lives is none of my business and I couldn't care less. Unfortunately, in the american workplace it seems like we spend a lot of effort judging others for their personal habits rather than focusing on what they do at work. This just leads to good people getting screwed and the biggest assholes running the show.

Mine grew in normal and never cause me any discomfort. I guess thats maybe a bit unusual for most people. I've had other surgery though so I can't imagine wisdom teeth removal being something that bad. I think it is feared because its most people's first surgery when they are growing up, so it makes a big impression.

Well in general the original concerns clan wars fought in feudal japan. Fall of the Samurai introduces non-japanese forces which include heavy artillery and firearms. Fall of the samurai is kind of like an expansion that takes place in a different time period and shakes up the mechanics quite significantly. If you only get one I would say fall of the samurai has everything the original did (expect the campaigns obviously) and has a lot of diversity and very great campaigns of its own.

Honestly I can barely watch any of the older stuff they have been posting without feeling very sad. I don't know if I can emotionally make it through a tribute cast. I think the crew should do what feels right to them, thats the most important thing.

The Davis family and Ryan's friends are under no obligation to ever disclose the nature of his death in a public manner if they so choose. It definitely feels like as a longtime member you deserve to know what happened but lets keep things in perspective here. In time, the cause of death is not really important or relevant. Focus more on preserving the memory of who he was and give those closest to them space and time to grieve.

I have no idea even how to process how I feel about this very sad and tragically early death. I remember growing up in high school and watching to him do video reviews over dial up internet. He was also the heart of the giant bomb podcast which I listen to most weeks. I've never met Ryan Davis but it feels basically like I have lost an acquaintance. Obviously he was an integral part of making this site awesome and reached out to countless lives through his charisma, professionalism, and deeply practiced critical ability to critique and assess games. He is irreplaceable and will be missed. RIP Ryan Davis.

This game looks cool and seems like it has the potential to be a fun action rpg. However, the developers last game, king arthur 2, was essentially broken at launch with a ton of technical issues that were only half fixed. So I would recommend waiting and seeing how stable the game is at launch before spending any money on it.

The graphics look nice and the skill tree looks cool, but I think you only can have a low number of abilities equipped at any time.

Man I got to say as someone with several ancestors who went to the camps and were killed by the nazis I was not prepared for that part of the game. It was not a negative experience per se but it triggered an emotional and adrenaline response like I rarely get from games anymore. It was pretty cool though and I'm glad the developers bring you through some dark and disturbing stuff. That atmosphere you could cut it with a knife! I haven't played a game this immersive in a while. Its been a bit hand holdy and i've been spending a lot of time being led around. Hopefully the game opens up and gets more challenging.

Just take a break from the game and then go for a nice walk outside and bring yourself back closer to neutral. Or playing guitar (or your instrument of choice) works really well. Sometimes when I'm really pissed about things in my real life I go play blastbeats on my drums for like an hour and when I finish my mind and body are quiet.
