Gears of War series. I love 3rd person shooters so it kills me that I don't own an XBOX 360. I'll eventually get around to playing them one day. Consoles are just to expensive. especially in Australia
I feel your pain mate. I'm still stuck playing through Drake's Fortune on crushing. I just want the bloody platinum. Especially after uncharted 2's platinum I got in about 2 weeks. Sigh.. trophies ruin me sometimes
Sorry couldn't help myself :) ... I'm currently in the same situation as you so I'm playing through all the half-life games. There is just something about that series that continues to bring me back whenever I've got nothing new to do.
If I liked the game then I always feel i should at least acknowledge the people who made it. Plus sometimes there is a rather awesome name that will just completely take me by surprise. For example Mr Nolan North in Portal 2. There is no way I would have known about that.
Not yet but I've been damn close. Final Fantasy 7: Crisis Core made me feel like crap for ages. Then like everyone else Red Dead Redemption and i reckon I would have if a certain friend of mine wasn't in the room asking questions throughout the entire scene. I went back to play it again after he left but the magic was gone... sigh
Oh and Half Life 2 Episode 2 was pretty close as well. Mainly because before the orange box came out I made sure to play ever Half-Life game in order. I had only just finished episode 1 and started playing 2 at 2am. Maybe it was because I was tired but it got me pretty upset. But still no tears. Perhaps I'm just soulless.
I'm gonna put this out there right now. I plan on getting Battlefield 3 on PC like the majority of people who are seriously excited for this game. However consoles are where the mass market is these days. It's just easier for people to own a console because there really isn't that much incentive to own a PC. Let's face it what exclusive does a PC still have besides WOW and Starcraft?
The call of duty franchise has always offered something for everyone. An intense single player, rather awesome coop and an addictive multiplayer. So what does BF3 have to do to compete? Pretty visuals aside there has to be something in there for the mass market. The reason so many of my friends were turned off Battlefield Bad Company 2 is because it was too hard to rank up, there was no coop (until the dlc was released), the campaign was strangely paced and their were only a handful of multiplayer modes.
If Battlefield 3 wants to challenge Call of Duty for the FPS throne they need a big hit for singleplayer, coop and multiplayer. All I want to know is what do you think Battlefield 3 needs to add to improve apon Battlefield 2 and Battlefield Bad Company 2 to create an experience that all will enjoy? I personally think offline split-screen for console is a must...
Alright never played FarCry. Didn't like FarCry 2 but that... that looked awesome. I may need to pick this one up. And that Voss character sounded like a truly great nemesis. i can not wait
