The internet is not officially censored here. There was talk on blog sites awhile ago that the government had talked to Telstra and Optus about putting their filtration list into practice silently, that may have occurred and then again it may not have.
In fact, right now I can access all of the websites on the leaked lists from 2007/2008 without any issue (I'm with Optus).... so I doubt even behind closed doors the net was censored.
I like how people comment on things without doing any research.
The internet here is not bad in the capital cities where I am I have a 3MBps/1MBps up connection (technically it is ADSL2).
It is bad in other smaller cities/towns/satellite cities; the reason for this is that their is only one company that lays the telecommunications lines in this country )and/or maintains them) and that is Telstra.
I know some would argue that NBN Co. is now a company that is laying telecommunications lines (and will be in charge of them in the future), but currently hardly any of their fibre lines are in service.
Our censorship is virtually non-existent; however, some games are not rated and/or not given classification... many people know about this because this news tends to hit mainstream American blog sites. However when individuals read about this level of censorship they don't tend to go any deeper... Those games generally are available online for purchase from certain Australian sellers or from overseas companies/individuals/whatever, and there's no restriction on importation of those goods.
As far as software is concerned for this sort of thing (if you haven't considered it already), you should consider using Fraps. It's a really useful piece of software, easy to use and delivers quite good results.
As a collector... I keep all of the consoles that I own in the original boxes/packaging. I thinking throwing them out is completely ridiculous and will be something that you regret should you choose to sell them at a later date.
It's not an Australian version Berserk... at least the dust cover is not. The cover is from the Europe. Australian rating stickers are a rectangular object with the corners rounded and they come in different colours depending on the rating...
