Maybe if you like DLC stuff, but with SF4, RE5 and KZ2 around its not a bad time to own a PS3 either. Or if you have a 360, Halo Wars, SF4, RE5; the GTA DLC is like the last thing on my mind with new games coming out.
Had a great time on all three consoles recently - it really doesn't matter which company is doing better, unless you have shares in that company. If you own any one of these consoles, you'll find great stuff on there, and at times you'll be a bit jealous of the other consoles' exclusives - fact of life, get over it :).
If the PS3 is losing any battles, I certainly haven't noticed. LittleBigPlanet, Wipeout HD, MGS4, Flower, Pixeljunk Eden, The Last Guy, Killzone 2 - awesome line-up, and then there's all the multiplatform stuff as well. Great times to be a ps3 gamer.
Just enjoy your games and be done with it. There is tons on the PS3 to enjoy and if you've beaten all that and find yourself green (ahem) with envy over what 360 players are playing... save up for one of those too.
For goodness sake it's not a war. It's about entertainment, and entertaining yourself. Sony are certainly putting enough out there to keep me entertained; in fact, I'm struggling to keep up.
Me, too. Between God of War 3, Mass Effect 2, Killzone 2, Halo ODST, Heavy Rain and Alan Wake, both consoles have a potentially stellar line up this year. As for the impact of exclusive DLC on a console's hardware sales success (not which version of the game people buy), that story is still being written. While I think that GTA:L&D probably caused more people to buy the Xbox version of GTA IV, I'm not convinced it caused many people to buy an Xbox over a PS3. Also, besides bragging rights, I'm not sure Microsoft will really recoup enough of the money they spent for that exclusivity through the L&D downloads or through extra console sales. We shall see...
Killzone 2 comes out this friday, thats all that matters right now : ) plus the Ps3 isn`t doing horrible compared the 360, even though it does have a pretty good lead on it.
