If the scratches haven't gone below the plastic coating, you might want to try some Magic Merlin or something, that's what we have here in Canada. It's basically a silicon liquid that solidifies when heated, so you pour this white goop over the scratches and then rub like a madman until they're gone. Worked for my Gears disc back in the day when I was stupid enough to move the console while it was on. Look around in your closest EB, if you've got one near you - they usually stock it in the back.

" @CoverlessTech: Dude, I can relate. The lady and I have a ton of fun playing L4D together online, and it's a bummer that this won't ship with that support. But all I can do is reiterate here. It's open-world, and no game has been made yet that does what Borderlands promises. So when I hear Randy saying if the game's a success they'll invest to work it out, I hear only positives, and wish them only success.

But are you not impressed at all that they can get split-screen in an open world game? Maybe I'm simple, but that flabbergasted me. "

Crackdown did it, and that was back in 2007. Still, Borderlands looks much better than that game, and I'm excited to see another AAA title with local co-op. Online has lag; call a buddy over, grab some beer, and play split-screen without it.

EDIT: Disregard that, tired brain is tired.

I run it on my 3 year old MacBook with an Intel Core Duo. Runs fine until you have a million cats running around the fortress, which is, unfortunately, quite often.

As some posters have already touched upon, this thing hinges on Internet access. I live in rural Manitoba, the lag is already through the roof - how is it going to work for me, or anyone living in areas with little to no stable Internet access? The technology needs to improve before this can be marketed to a mass audience.

Also, by the way Jeff puts it, it sounds like you'd subscribe to OnLive, and thenbuy the games on top of that, much like Xbox Live and XBLA. The 360 also plays games that I can put on my shelf, though, and I don't feel like paying for another monthly service. Just my two cents.
