I picked it up. It is a really great port, the touch controls work great. I think the $20 price seems steep, but this game is totally worth it. I don't mind paying this much for iOS games if they are at the quality level of XCOM.

I just started This Perfect Day, I love dystopian futures in my sci-fi.

Imajica by Clive Barker. I am not nearly far enough in the book to have an opinion yet, but it seems like it will be good.

I will check this out. It looks pretty good.

@Sammo21: I feel like Arthur Gies is willing to talk about things he doesn't like just as much as the things he likes, that is why I like his stuff. He gives perspective on the good and bad things in games.

I have always been a fan of Phillip Kollars work. I also like to read and listen Arthur Gies' stuff too.

@Dixavd: I kind of want to be surprised by a game. I am excited for Paper Mario, Luigi's Mansion etc., but something that I don't see coming would be the best. Also, I will say this every year until I get a new good one, but a 2D Metroid would always be nice.

@BrockNRolla: I feel the same way. I just want games. I don't really care too much about any other features.

Star Wars is too fantasy for my tastes, I prefer something a little more sci-fi.
