I haven't listened to the latest episode of the Bombcast ( saving it for tomorrows commute )
People been prediction the death of pc gaming for years, yet the console generations have come and gone and pc gaming is still here.
I don't think that will change in any significant way.
I think people perception is just changing with where they draw the line with what pc gaming actually is.
Do we count casual web based games as PC-gaming?
How about casual free to play MMO's?
Do the majority of people that play farmville play games like Battlefield, StarCraft or the Witcher?
the Older audience of pc games, people who enjoy spending their time and building their PC out of parts is still there unchanged...
it is more the fact that we are being overshadowed by all the influx of casual gamers
who have been lobbed in the same categorization of PC-Gamers with the logical reasoning being: " well all these people play all these casual games on the pc so they are all PC-Gamers "
and with that false logic people make the next step of thinking " pc-gaming is changed or changing "
