I find weapon degradation is a lot more welcome in games where survival is a key theme. It adds a lot to the feeling of urgency and panic you feel while fighting zombies. However, I'm not a fan of weapon degradation in fantasy games like oblivion. I want my sword to always be razor sharp and ready to kill dragons.

I'm playing on easy and it's not too bad. Whenever I fail I just change my strategy my second go around and I beat them quite easily. On an unrelated note, have any of you actually seen someone with a 3DS other than yourself?

You know, they're right. Appearance is everything and we should strive to be stylish to try and pick up girls all the time. This is the only true pursuit in life.

What is this notion that a gamer has to post on forums to be a "hardcore" gamer? The fact alone that one enjoys a lot of games and plays a fair amount of games characterizes him/her as a gamer. I don't see where forum posting enters the equation.

I barely post on forums at all. Mostly because people just repeat stuff that was already said in another news story I read. My discussion about games is made with my friends.

There are more cheap PS2 systems for sale out there than you can shake a stick at. I got a brand new one for 40$. Used ones go for much cheaper.

The last handheld gaming system I ever bought was the gameboy color. I still whip it out occasionally and get weird looks on the subway line. Most other handhelds I see around are iOS systems. I think we tend to overestimate the amount of hardcore gamers there are out there. Especially since hardcore gamers tend to hang around each other.

I've recently browsed through the Xbox live indie marketplace. A lot of the games are pretty much crap. Some exist solely for the pleasure of lonely perverts (yes, Ninja Chop, I'm looking at you). Some border on the retarded. Some aren't even games at all !!!! Who would read the description of Gallery Landscapes and think "This is for me!". However, some games are just brilliant. Some of you might be familiar with Cthulhu Saves The World. This is a great little gem in xbox live indie and I'm quite happy I found it.

@PenguinDust: That looks deceivingly delicious. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. It's blown my mind.
