I find scores are very bad indicators of how good a game is. It's all in the opinion of the reviewer. For example, the Prince of Persia reboot got generally high reviews. I personally found it to be horrible and frustratingly repetitive.

Also, much like B-class horror movies, I am partial to weird, campy games. I get much more entertainment out of them than some AAA titles. When it comes to purchasing games, I usually take a chance or occasionally look at the opinions of the people.

as a Canadian I would probably never live in the US. I recently fell ill and going to a clinic and not have to worry about insurance or money is awesome. However, America is fine. I've been there many times for extended periods. It isn't any more rude than anywhere else. It all depends on who you talk to I guess.

Great. You can read Nietzche, but I don't know if you can understand it when you're asking such obvious questions to such an obvious blog. I really kind of enjoy how I get called pretentious by the same people who think my concern is with shooters exclusively.

It's kind of hard to think your concern was with anything other than shooters when most of the games you mentioned were in fact shooters. You can't get so caught up on the shooting guys aspect of some games. Yes, you shoot guys in Mass Effect 2. But you also do a lot of other stuff that's way better and is the stuff that makes everybody else cough up $60. So yes, blame us illiterate saps (including the guys who write for this website you clearly have some loyalty to) for enjoying a hobby you so ignorantly call banal.

There are more types of games than AAA titles and shooters you know... Of course those games don't have anything special. But your arguments just show me you don't know much about games other than the major releases.

Now I'm not suggesting this should actually be the game they play for the next endurance run. I'm sure whatever the Giant Bomb staff decide will be amazing and I cannot wait. Although Hypothetically, wouldn't be awesome if Shenmue was chosen. It's a very interesting game that could be a good potential candidate for an endurance run, and not many people may have played it or know about it. I know there is a lot of very crappy voice acting throughout, but it often results in hilarity. I'd like to know what your reactions would be if the endurance run happened to be about Shenmue?
