Whoot whoot! I found it odd that no one made a post about this yet. Anyhow, let's get this holiday rolling. I'll update this post soon with deals and what not.
This game looks really cool! I do think there should be more coverage of it around and I hope we get a quick look of it soon.
I've been looking forward to playing it but the price is putting me off. There doesn't seem like there's all that much stuff to do yet and if I look around a bit I can usually find the most expensive PC games for not much more. I'd definitely give it a go at the Chivalry price point though. I'll almost certainly get it one day though if it ever goes on sale.
@yesiamaduck: @razielcuts: Pretty sure that there will be a podcast and video up every day, Monday to Friday next week. I think that's the way they've done it two years on the bounce now.
The most embarrassing thing that ever happened to me when I was working at a cinema in London. We got quite a few famous people in and I really didn't care much about them. Keira Knightly came in once and refused to speak to anyone and looked away from the desks while her boyfriend bought the tickets/food. Arsehole.
The Monty Python star Terry Jones comes into the cinema in a rush to watch Slumdog Millionaire and I'm a huuuuuge fan of Python! I couldn't help myself and I spurted out ":-O are you Terry Gilliam!?" and he says no I'm Terry Jones. I say I'm a big fan, and sorry but the screening is sold out so you can't watch your film.
If it was anyone else I don't think I'd feel so embarrassed and ashamed by it but I probably wouldn't have said anything anyway. I still go red if I think about it. The one time I met a legend I cared about enough to say something to and I proper cock it up.
@abendlaender: I got the code which came with graphics cards and this registers straight on to Uplay, and I've just played about 15 minutes of it to see if it works and it does and I'm in the UK. The Uplay shop is in £ so I assume it knows I'm British. Maybe it was a mistake, but I don't think they'll now turn it off for a few days since is been available to play for at least some people from the EU.
That's weird. The game doesn't even show up in the "My games" thing on UPlay for me. That's kinda worrying.
Yeah it didn't show up there for me either when I first got the code in the post and I kinda freaked out but I heard that it happens with Uplay.
I actually got an email from Ubisoft with another code on the 19th which I redeemed through Uplay. After that it showed up in my games and let me download and play it after some annoying things where it wouldn't install to the right drive.
Maybe the code I got was an American code for some reason? it came from Ebuyer though so I don't see why it would have been.
