If I have to use a disc for this, I'll just keep streaming Netflix through PlayOn.  It works plenty fine, just needs the ability to manage your queue directly from the XMB instead of your PC.  I'm surprised how few people actually use PlayOn.  It's cheap as hell and gets my Hulus and Netflixers on my big tubes without any subscriptionaters.

Um, hello...Uncharted?  2 YEARS OLD!!!!!  How about Folklore?  Who's buying these games at $60 bucks 2 years later?  Sony is doing an AWFUL job with their pricing.  I would own a lot more games on my PS3 if they implemented greatest hits in a timely fashion.

Um, huh?  How the hell do you rotate the record if you have to push buttons on the top of it while it's moving?  Dumb.

Even if this controller and game were both frakkin awesome....practically everybody thinks at one point how cool it would be to be a rock star guitarist, almost NOBODY thinks how cool it would be to DJ in a club.  Some people, sure, but this is just a bad idea that will hit a tiny niche audience.  It's like DDR with 90% less widespread appeal.

Um...this isn't a DRM it's just a reg key system.  The casual games industry has been doing this exact thing for the past 7 years.  It works for casual games because the average casual gamer isn't savvy enough to realize that you can just give somebody else your e-mail/reg key and they can download and unlock the game for themselves.  Since most casual gamers don't frequent forums (good luck finding one), developers don't have to worry much about people just posting their reg keys for everyone to use.

If you put this on a larger scale with gamers that actually understand the implications of it, you'll have anarchy.  Websites will pop up all over the place posting universal e-mail/serial codes for every game released.  It could maybe work if there was a secondary authentication built in where you couldn't use the serial code more than once unless the original purchaser requested an additional install verification...but then we're right back to Spore-caliber DRM.

It doesn't work.

I get the feeling that "War.  Perfected." is a knock on "Combat Evolved".  It's a dumb tag line, but I think they're taking a shot at Halo.

Man, this just pisses me off.  1up really did have an amazing group of brilliant minded folks.  Both 1upFM and 1up Yours were constant intellectually stimulating gaming conversations.  My initial reaction is that eventually people will get annoyed enough at UGO, IGN, and Gamespot and all end up on Giant Bomb, but then all those people will be out of work.  We can't win!

Sad, sad day.  Some of the names on that list of rumored layoffs have nearly the weight of Gerstmann-gate in my mind.  Shane Bettenhausen, Nick Suttner, Matt Chandronait...it's just nuts that these guys got layed off.

Aaaaaaahhh, this makes me sad.  Such a great game.  Sega finally makes a valiant attempt at a return to form, and here we go and tell them we're not interested.

I don't think it's an advertising issue.  I actually saw quite a bit of advertising for this on the big game sites.  If I remember correctly, Gamespot even had a big overlay splash for it.
