I've been watching videos in the Video Bomb Android app and I like the double tap skip (15 seconds but configurable) feature.

I don't get the whole "must maximize my entertainment time" deal with playback speed. There's a reason movies/music/games may be slow-paced and I wouldn't want to watch Revenant, Apocalypse Now or Dunkirk at 1.1x speed.

Don't know if this has been reported but the pagination isn't filtered to the videos category of the game being shown.

  1. Find random concept/game page with videos
  2. Choose videos
  3. Click on page 2
  4. 404 returned

Ideally it should be hidden unless there is more than one page?

Anyways I wanna say thanks for the improvements to the site recently and I hope it's a relatively achievable fix.

After all these years and posts (that I'm not gonna read) I'm gonna contribute my random fuckwit opinion of:

Burgers are a subset of sandwiches qualified by having circular buns.

Parsec or Google Meet screen-sharing I guess.

They've only recently got it setup in general I think because that's why we were getting solo streams for a while. Check Vinny's topic for other technical details (I think they try to record audio locally on each computer and sync it up)

I was wondering why Wasteland 3 was missing from the "August 23, 2020 - August 30, 2020" block as well.

Edit: Oh it seems like the game can have a "Release date" without any actual releases ? Seems like it would make sense to have one default one but I'm not so familiar with the wiki.

I've had issues with the Epic Store where cache was corrupted but it didn't give problems like that.

Anyways you could try deleting the contents of this folder:

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\EpicGamesLauncher\Saved\webcache

Otherwise try starting the game offline because it sounds like a DRM/activation issue? Those really suck.

I like that Outkast song more and more since it came out 20 years ago. Eerily foreshadowing in hindsight.

Promising starting point with the trailer and Rocksteady had a solid track record. Arkham Knight wasn't a bad game but the differences in gameplay weren't really an improvement on the predecessors that were lengthy games on their own. Maybe they can even model variations on less enemy buffness this time.

Looking forward to the QTE counter prompt for Superman's laser eyes.

@naterfb: I imagine they are encoding raw capture video to h264 mp4 files on their personal PCs before uploading them and it's quite CPU intensive (or possibly GPU if you have a compatible one).

I've only used ffmpeg in recent years from Handbrake or CLI for smaller videos and it's fairly modular but if it's a long video then you might compare it to an all or nothing MP3 rip of an audio CD so if anything fails you need to restart and wait 20 more minutes to see if it worked.

Thanks for the updates Vinny and I wasn't expecting them to be so frequent.

Far Cry 2 had impressive dynamic wildfire tech for environments for the time.

For the others "hate" is maybe a little too strong of a word because it was probably more boredom that caused me to stop playing:

Bioshock Infinite disguised corridors as beautiful open setpieces very well.

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor had a lot of challenging enemies.
