Calling bullshit on this.

I came to post about JRPGs.  Shut UP.

The "golden age" of RPGs, in my opinion, is definitely the SNES - PSOne.  That doesn't mean there were some gems later on.  Dragon Quest VIII is probably one of my top five of all time.  I think the best thing now is that they stay on portables, where the pressure of a monster budget can protect the smaller endeavors.

I didn't cry, but back in the day I found Aries' Theme, or whatever music they played, was good enough to invoke emotion into a plot with stumpy lego people.  I found the early scene where Aries' mom talked about receiving letters from her husband during the war and then Aries saying "it was okay, he's gone to a better place" or something probably the most emotional bit in the game of all things.  By the time I got to Aries' death, I had already known about it and had to replay the scene five hundred times because of that damn Jenova thing afterward always kicked my butt.  I can't remember if I actually felt bad or anything.

Odd thing to get chillbumps about, but hey, I was also in 7th grade.

Oh and the opera in FF6 kicked all kinds of ass.

If you don't have a source your post is completely useless.

Most, if not all, are upscaled from a 720p resolution.  The only game I played that displayed actual 1080 was Banjo Kazooie.  The XBLA one.

The Burnout Paradise DLC has been amazing so far, with the Bikes pack being free and lots of continued support and patches.  DLC done right, though it has an ass backwards way of forcing you to download the updates (having to go into your system folder to clean out anything before v.1.9).  Big Surf Island rocked, even though it had some odd pricing.

The Fallout 3 stuff I'm just now getting into, but I've really enjoyed Operation Achorage so far.

The yellow and brown shirt designs for Never are the best.  The brown one least embarrassing to wear, as somebody else said above.
