@MrKlorox: Why do you need a steamworks key? If it's just that it won't be in steam and that's a killer for you I kind of get it, but Amazon's servers give you a whole lot more bandwidth on downloading games than Steam ever has for me. When I bought Witcher2 from amazon a couple months ago I was drifting between 3-4mb/s compared to Steam's 500-700kb/s. It's actually a better scenario long as you remember it's attached to your amazon account

I loved Bayou Billy... I actually just pulled my NES out last week to play that and duck hunt.

The first game I had a fairly strong disgust for was "The Adventures of Dino Ricky." I hate Hudson forever for that. I see that there's nothing on that page.. wonder if other NES games are empty. I should probably take the time to trudge through the crap everyone else was smart enough to not play and fill out their pages.

Would be nice to say "Our friends over at Giantbomb spent some time with the Vita, here are the highlights." I haven't looked at the offending footage, but this feels like the bullshit on tumblr where people post comics by other people and remove the watermark and give no credit meaning no one ever finds the person that made the content they enjoy.

@SomeJerk: I wish I could blame it on input lag. I should have taken a picture of that keep-the-beat test where it counts down. All. Over. The. Board.

I think one of the problems is that I'm not getting feedback on whether I'm too early or too late, but really anything short of a visual cue like from DDR won't help me. Even worse, visual cues at all are probably what's killing me. Also, I'm bad at guitar hero/rock band/etc.

I'm more impressed that I'm still playing it and actually enjoying the game even after hours of abuse.

Because CLEARLY they're racist since I'm white and they know full well I have no rhythm.

Seriously though, all the video I've seen people nail it constantly. I feel so handicapped when I'm playing the game. I sat through the golf tutorials for 20 minutes before it said I had the concept down. I'm afraid to say that it was very much wrong, and I'm very bad at pushing a single button in a rhythm. Am I the only person that's experiencing this? The game's great, and I still enjoy it despite my severe rhythmic retardation but what a bummer when not a single robot leaves the factory in working condition :(

I'm sitting here trying to think of how to form an argument as to why institutions for higher education are necessary, but I didn't pay much attention in English Comp.

They're called basics for a reason I suppose though. It doesn't matter what you do, as an educated individual there's an expectation of base knowledge/ability when it comes to things such as communication or handling certain concepts (math, art, etc.). I think the way to look at it is when you're required to take a computer course, take a glance around the class and look at the people that are actually learning something new (they don't have to be struggling with it though). When you finish that course it's expected that you have a grasp of that subject that can be built upon later, something those people wouldn't have had before if they were entering the workforce then. It might be harder to apply this to something like English ("I'm an engineer! I don't have to talk/write to people!") or math ("I'm a..." who legitimately doesn't need math skills?), but when you find out that a co-worker can't handle simple algebra or can't write a sentence to save their life don't you feel a little sorry for them?

I'll continue thinking about it and I hope to have a better layout for my thoughts soon. :(

Reinvent that mother fuckin' wheel man.

@me3639 You are very much in the minority. :( You really need to get your hands on a Zelda game because it's considered by many to be the gold standard for adventure games. Not talking the stuff on the Wii, but something like Ocarina of Time or Link to the Past is definitely worth the time. Even if you don't fall in love with that style of game you might see what it is that makes "Zelda-like" such a staple for some adventure games.

@TentPole: I'll reserve being polite for people who deserve it. A half-assed troll doesn't get that benefit. If you'll notice, there's also a solution to the one reasonable problem he's got there.

I know someone who would tear up when they listened to it, but all I can hear is the silence between sounds and it's upsetting me.

The couple music related threads on Giantbomb have made me realize I listen to music that's very different from what individuals in my social circles listen to. Being from south Texas and listening to european goth metal/rock I'm used to it, but still. I feel alone and there's no one to hold me.

ALSO - surprised I haven't see a link to Aerith's theme.

Problem solved.
