Sorry, it's buried in a gaf thread and you know how that places moves. The poster who said it was one of those people privately verified by a mod as being an insider when he was challenged.

I know it sounds fishy, but I really don't like posting baseless rumors. This is as best we'll get to a confirmation without breaking NDAs.

Indirect lighting for games as shown in NVidia's tech video is more along the lines of 10 years in the future if you look at the specs of the machines involved, the bandwidth required for every player using it, and the issues with latency. The key behind cloud architecture servers and the use of it is that it needs to be cheap as well as being reliable. Having an entire server farm equipped with Geforce titans, along with network centers with enough bandwidth to push out the final calculations is far off.

Only problem with that modmic is that the version they currently offer has no mute function. You will be surprised how much you will use the mute function, well, if you're a considerate person.

Apparently, there is a version with mute coming sometime this year.

Also, there may be a way to set a key to mute the mic in windows.

I would avoid the Sennheiser PC 350s and get the PC 360 or 363. The 350's mic broke on me within a week, and it had issues like the in-cord volume control being weak, it wouldn't change the volume that much. The in-line mic mute also didn't work well. It also has a closed ear design that can get hot if you're wearing it a lot. Overall it's just an outdated design that still costs as much as the newer designs for some reason.

The newer PC360 and PC363 have volume controls on the right can, not inline, they work properly and don't add extra weight or snags to the cord. The mic mute is also as simple as raising the microphone boom to the up position.

If you still prefer closed ear designs, there's a version of the newer design with closed ear cups.

EDIT: Just saw that they had a new Special Edition of the PC350 that includes all the upgraded features.

The P3 characters found a way to bring out personas, they explained it in P4A. If the P3 MC had

The reality is, both of them aren't much in the way of characters, but rather stand ins for the player.

Sorry, to thread necro, but didn't want to make a new thread.

Looking at what people think is Uncharted 4 concept art snuck into the Last of Us making of video, it shows characters in older style dress, seemingly Age of Sail outfits.

I think they could make "Uncharted: Drake's Voyage."

Step back in time to Sir Francis Drake's time, as he's going through one last voyage, or just another crazy voyage. Then, half-way through that game, time steps forward to Nathan Drake, stumbling on another of Drake's Legends. The plot jumps back and forward between Nathan and Francis Drake as they uncover a big mystery, Nathan is reading the journal that Francis is writing.

Use a more dynamic cover system like 8 days, or Last of Us. The Francis Drake segments use more of The Last of Us's gameplay where there's limited ammo for his older firearms. But, both timelines have areas that are much larger, with more freeform exploration segments instead of all the climbing being just linear.

The story focuses this time purely on Nate and Elena's relationship, since we never got to see it. I suspect the reason why Elena wasn't in 2 and 3 that much was that the actress Emily Rose has a busy schedule with her show, Haven (which also had guest appearances from Nolan North and Claudia Black).

To further resolve the issue, another reputable poster has confirmed that there are games using a full 6GB memory allotment.

Ultimately this means that there is no set memory standard yet, at least not for everyone. Sony is probably letting some AAA and first party teams have at it to see what they can do with the extra space, and "holding some back" for itself.

But nothing is set in stone until release, and even then they can still come back years later with a chisel. ;)

All the swimming segments, and a lot slower parts were there to hide background loading. You'll notice they were all before major changes in scenery. With better hardware, they can probably have Ellie learn to swim.

A sequel will be fine guys, while yes, Joel and Ellie's story is over, and yes, the themes in their story are done for that setting, there is still plenty of human drama to be had. A story about loss, finding a daughter or father figure, companionship, and survival are just one aspect of the human drama, there's plenty more to tell.

What I want from the inevitable sequel is for them to tell the story of a survivor colony, starting from the time they first settle down in a new area.

The the extra power of next gen consoles to render larger areas, with more characters, so you can more easily have an ensemble cast without having to kill them off just so you can add more later.

There are a lot of people playing it.

Also, if a player is wearing armor and is standing in the open, shoot his legs, it does the same damage as hitting the torso with whatever weapon you're using. I've downed many people who run around with armor by shooting their legs out from under them. Just another incentive to actually use cover.

It is a bit gears of war, however, where gears still uses the snap to cover system, Last of Us' simple move behind cover system works, there's even animation cues to have you rise up over cover when aiming, all without being stuck on cover. Plus, being down to down people very quickly if they're in the open is a breath of fresh air from all the Gears style run forward, roll, and shotgun gameplay that game devolved into. Although you can still be very aggressive in TLOU, it requires a little more forethought.

The whole multiplayer just feels elegantly designed. So many well put together parts, stuff like tagging, sprinting, listen mode, craftable items, the overarching faction meta game.
